Travelling to Nepal, you need passport with valid entry visa. If the passenger arrives from an area, where yellow fewer is appeared, he has to present the respective international vaccination certificate that the vaccination against such disease was made.
We wish to recommend you, in this connection, to check in advance, before you leave, at Consular Section of Nepal Embassy abroad, if the conditions for the entry and stay did not changed in the meantime.
The respective Nepal entry visa could be obtained directly at border crossings, or at Nepal Embassies abroad. The entry visa, valid for 30 days, costs USD 30. The visa validity could be prolonged at Immigration Office in Kathmandu (Department of Immigration, Thamel, Kathmandu, phone: 009 774 - 185 73,123 37).

Attention: you need to have plenty of your photos with.
However, the tourist entry visa does not entitle for the access to most of mountain areas. To enter there, you are obliged to execute special permit, so called Trekking Permit, issued by Immigration Office in Kathmandu.
Caution: you are recommended not to enter into these areas without permission, as you can meet for sure, police checking points on important crossroads. The entry without permit is taken for as punishable act and is hardly penalized.
Nepal´s International Airport is situated in Kathmandu, where you can arrive from neighbouring Asian countries, such as: from India or Thailand. Even direct airflights from Europe (Frankfurt, Germany) are operating there. As far as border crossing points are concerned: you are allowed to cross on three cross border points from India only and one from Tibet.
So called announce duty exists for stays longer than 24 hours. You need to be registered at the nearest police station. On the other hand, most of hotels effets the registration for the guests separately.
