While in Peru, we couldn't decide to visit or not to visit Colca or Cotahuasi canyons. Some say that Cotahuasi is deeper. Some say it's Colca. Perhaps this is only a way to bring more tourists to both canyons. Both canyons are about 3500 meters. The rivers which carved both canyons out flow through the Ande summits rising as high as 6000 meters above the sea level and end up in the Pacific Ocean. Both canyons feature rare Andean condors.
Trujillo is situated in a desert area near the Pacific Ocean. It was founded in 1534. It had good enough fortification to withstand pirate raids. For a while it was even the capital of Peru when it the country declared independence.

Afterthat, when we said good-bye to Marketa and Pepa (they continued their trip to Bolivian beach of Titicaca Copacabana) we left by bus for Arequipa, the second biggest town of Peru.
Our second excursion to the Titicaca Lake was headed for Taquille Lake, where the countryside could remind the Mediterranean. So, we left, (together with Pepa and Marketa, who arrived to Puno early morning) for the pier. Here, we met a man, who sold us the tickets yesterday, and he lead us to rather luxurious vessel.
We arrived to Puno, after sleepless night, at five o'clock in the morning, and were contacted immediately by accommodation beaters, as this became usuall during our stay in Peru. The first man offered us the rate of Sols 15 per a night, and such offer was acceptable.
We decided that for Cusco sightseeing, including environs, will be reserved the whole day. In the evening, Markéta and Pepa left us, in order to visit Pisac, as they had time enough for such excursion. The rest of our group decided to transfer to Titicaca Lake.
A moment of departure from Machu Picchu came. Before a week, I manifested a satisfaction with a fact that I would bring back some dollars home, but at present, I would not be sure that some money remain me at all.
Today, it is a moment for visit of Machu Picchu, famous world-known and most attractive locality of Peru from tourist point of view! It is holy place of Incas, discovered by Mr. Hiram Bingham. To tell the truth, I was not too enthusiastic to visit such place.
