Join us for a trip in the eastern part of Bulgaria to the Black Sea coast. Take a walk through Sunny Beach, the largest resort in the country, enjoy the indescribable atmosphere of the ancient town of Nessebar (UNESCO), and relax in the mud baths at Lake Atanasov.

Traveling in Bulgaria will culminate in a natural gem in the form of the Atanasov Lake, located on the northern outskirts of Burgas and one of the largest saltwater reservoirs in the country.
From the Sunny Beach we set out to visit the ancient town of Nessebar, which stretches on the island and on the mainland and is washed by the Black Sea.
In the next few weeks we will set out for the Balkan Peninsula, more precisely for Bulgaria. This European country has given the world many inventions, remarkable personalities, and has opened up many beautiful natural places, architectural gems and cultural customs.
Somebody is planning a ski vacation, somebody is figuring out where to go for summer holidays. We will introduce you to Bulgaria a bit. Perhaps you will consider it your next travel destination.
The surroundings of St Constantine and Helene resort is worth your attention. We head north along the Black Sea coastline. Before the town of Kavarna we turn left to the famous Cape Kaliakra (Nos Kaliakra). It is the longest cape in Bulgaria, if nothing else.
St. Contantine and Helene resort (Sveti Konstantin i Elena in Bulgarian) is the oldest Bulgarian resort that was established in 1946. The town is about 10 km from Varna. A short walk away is another famous seaside resort - Golden Sands.
Sandy beaches, beautiful nature, great food, fair prices make Bulgaria a popular destination for holidaymakers. mostly families with small children. There are lots of options where to stay n Bulgaria. One of the most popular places is the south around Burgas. There is also an airport. Popular summer resorts are Primorsko, Kiten, or Carevo. Those who love history should visit Sozopol.
Varna is the third largest Bulgarian city, situated on the Black Sea coast and the largest Bulgarian port. Varna has a small airport as well, which can be reached from Prague and Brno by direct flights in less than two hours.
In the communist times, Bulgaria was one of the few countries where anybody could travel. Many of people who wanted to spend a vacation on see used this opportunity. When the borders opened, the country ceased to be attractive for us. Yet in the present, just as perpetrators of some crime, we have been going back to the crime scene …
