On our journey during spring we found Slovenian sea town of Piran (in Italian language known as Pirano). We were amazed by the wonderful atmosphere there. It is a small yet ancient town situated on the tip of Slovenian coastline. The town covers an area of almost 45 km². Less than 17000 inhabitants live there yet many tourists make the town live and vibrant. This makes a breathtaking contrast to the tranquil maritime atmosphere. You can especially feel it when walking down side alleys. The round sqaure is very interesting. The famous Italian violinist Giuseppe Tartini was born here in the town and his statue stands on the square. You wouldn't expect such a statue in this small town and its narrow streets. There is also St George's cathedral. It is sorto f the natural main landmark of the town.

Today we take the cable car to the top of Vogel, look at Lake Bled and walk through the Vintgar gorge.
Slovenia is one of the increasingly popular destinations, especially for those who like to enjoy a special holiday. Especially the local Alps are a paradise for lovers of adrenaline sports and for more demanding trekkers. Let's go to the Slovenian mountains in a new series.
Today we will look at one of the most popular and most beautiful Slovenian places. Slovenia's largest lake lies in a beautiful valley, is surrounded by high mountains and offers many opportunities for exploring.
135 kilometers long, beautifully blue and clean, with lots of canyons and rapids and mainly surrounded by breathtaking scenery. This is the Slovenian river Soča. In today's part of the Slovenian series, we will look at a unique place where the river springs.
80 meters high and 30 meters wide. So big is the window in the rock above the Vršič saddle in the Slovenian Alps. Directly through it there is quite a demanding ferrata, but you can also get up the classic trekking route, which we will now set off together.
Slovenia's third highest mountain is definitely worth a visit. Just thanks to the fact that you can drive up to two thousand meters and you can enjoy unforgettable views even longer.
After the beautiful Austrian spa Bad Blumau we leave the country and head to our destination.
In the last article about Ljubljana, we visited Metelkova Street and Dragon Bridge, so we continue to the center. We go along the river Lublanice down towards the square Prešernov trg. France Prešeren (1800–1849) was a romantic poet and also a lawyer. He gradually became the first European-recognized Slovenian writer.
The medieval town of Izola is such a Slovenian Venice. And even the town is really called that. You won't find gondolas here, but you will definitely find a peaceful atmosphere, narrow streets and ancient houses. And the connection with Italy? This is obvious, formerly inhabited by Italians.
Today we will visit Portorož and Piran. First we will see what has changed at the beautiful nature exhibition Forma Viva. It's such a sculpture gallery under a blue sky. It is unbelievable that this project was created fifty years ago. Slovenians Jakob Savinšek and Janez Lenassi came up with the idea of a natural sculpture gallery as early as 1961.
We get up relatively early, there is a long crossing ahead of us and we want to see a lot along the way. The first stop is Socerb Castle.
Today, our main destination is Lake Bohinj, the most beautiful and largest lake in Slovenia.
Slowly we are leaving Slovenia. Our last voyage will lead below the breathtaking Mangart mountain in the Julian Alps, which proudly rises in close proximity to the border with Italy.
From the town of Bled we set out for another natural gem in Slovenia - the largest lake in the country. It covers an area of over 3 km². We will talk about Lake Bohinj, whose shores provide a wonderful walk around the Triglav National Park.
After visiting the amazing Vintgar Gorge, we move to Bled. This most important tourist center of the Upper Carniola Region is located in the northwestern part of Slovenia and offers several landmarks.
Our Slovenian adventure full of knowledge continues. After visiting the Kranjska Gora, which is surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery, we move on to another natural gem - the Vintgar Gorge (Blejski Vintgar, Vintgar Sotesque).
Kranjska Gora is situated in the north-western part of Slovenia near the Austrian and Italian borders. This town is known mainly due to the winter sports center, where the FIS - World Cup in Alpine Skiing takes place every year.
Logar valley is a beautiful valley in the north of Slovenia. A 6 kilometer long path goes through the valley and ends at the rock of limestone massif. It costs 7 euro to enter the Logar Valley if you travel by car. The entrance gate is situated 4 kilometers northwest from the town of Solcava.
Today we will again go to admire beauties of Slovenian nature. From Lake Bled we will move to not less fascinating Lake Bohinj where we will see also the Savica Falls.
Slovenian Predjama Castle is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating castles in the world. It is hidden in a town of the same name, which is only 10 kilometers away from Postojna, a popular tourist town known for its unique cave system.
So here we are, the last part of our trip across Slovenia. Again we woke up to a cloudy morning but this time it didn’t rain at least. There was an easy trip by a cableway on Vogel and from there we would continue by walk to a vantage point Točka.
We always just travel throughout Slovenia, maybe the reason was we were in hurry to get to Croatia or on our way back home. Even we have heard a lot about its beauties, we never managed to find few days or hours, at least, to stop and explore. At last, we changed it and a part of a late summer vacation we spent in Slovenia.
Postojna town is located in southwest Slovenia. Fans of traveling and the nature know the town thanks to its unique cave system – Postojnska jama. We managed to visit this natural sight at the end of summer. Frankly, it was a wonderful experience.
As we decided to spend few days in Slovenia it wouldn’t go without visiting probably the most Slovenian lake Bled. The lake is considered one of Slovenian symbols. This beautiful lake is located in the eastern part of Julian Alps right by a noisy town of the same name.
Today we will not move anywhere. We will spend the whole day in Bled, a town that is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Slovenia. We will set out for a visit of one of the most beautiful and precious landmarks. We will see a monumental castle on a cliff above Lake Bled and we will visit a local market.
We woke up to beautiful, however, calm morning. We ate something, checked our backpack if there were things necessary since we intended to spend the whole day out, and we set out to the lake. That day we decided to visit a church on the island in the middle of the lake and spend the afternoon in the town.
