In the following photo gallery we will take you to the Small Carpathians, more precisely to the surroundings of the village of Cachtice. Our goal will be to get to Maly and Velky Plesivec, which surrounds the Nature Reserve of the same name. The reserve is not only important for its aesthetic dimension but also for the natural one.. On the way, we enjoy a gradual climb, magical views of the countryside or views of majestic medieval castles.

On this day we are about to explore the Cachticke Carpathian Mountains. Velky Plesivec is our objective. It is surrounded by a nature reserve of the same name. It's importance lays not solely in its beauty but in its natural characteristics as well.
Slovakia is a country that is rich in castles, chateaus, and small castles. We could count hundreds of them here. We planned couple of trips for our free time. One of them took us back in time to the middle ages. We saw mysterious Cachticky castle.
The region of Povazi offers many sights, natural as well as man-made. Today we visit one of the latter – Beckov castle is the most attractive sight in Beckov village which is near Nove Mesto nad Vahom.
The tourist season has already begun. So we are about to set out into the mountains. First, we invite you to join us for a pleasant trip to the Klapy nature reserve situated in Horni Povazi region.
Vršatská cliffs, that are part of the White Carpathian Mountains, belong to a very attractive tourist sites. Mostly consist of massive limestone grained, which are not only rich fossil fauna, but also offer a beautiful view of the landscape of the central character.
Since the time immemorial people were attracted to high places so they can have a view over surrounding landscape. Observation towers emerged quickly in central Europe, mostly in the second half of the 19th century and at the beginning of the 20th century. There are countless towers in Slovakia and it can be claimed some more will be constructed every year.
The Small Carpathian Mountains are not the highest mountain range in Slovakia. Nevertheless, they have a lot to offer. There are many interesting and picturesque nooks. From some peaks there are magnificent views of the landscape. However, the visitor will be enchanted by deep forests, caves, or many rock formations along the ridges.
At the end of winter we set off to see the Natural Reservation of Rostun, in the Small Carpathian Mountain. We entered through the town of Plavecke Podhradi. All what we have seen is on the lines below.
