Not far from the spa town of Piešťany, by the dam lake Sĺňava, a new attraction has been built for families with children - the beautiful Eko Park. There is a contact zoo with 174 animals, a pleasant sitting with refreshments, jumping attractions for children and an incredible natural environment full of flowers, greenery and water areas. You will get to llamas, hares, parrots, owls, eagles, nosals, kangaroos, etc. From Eko Park you will not only get unforgettable experiences, but by visiting it you will also contribute to a good cause. The whole area is still under partial construction, after the completion of which it will certainly become a popular stop for all animal and nature lovers.

In the central part of western Slovakia, between three important cities, namely Trnava, Hlohovec and Piešťany, lies the village of Madunice. Thanks to the immediate vicinity of the Váh River, the surroundings of the village offer breathtaking natural scenery, as well as opportunities for active recreation in the form of fishing or hunting.
On the edge of the Danubian Uplands, at the mouth of the Chtelnička Valley in the northern part of the Little Carpathians, lies the truly beautiful village of Chtelnice. The area in which it is located is one of the oldest inhabited areas in Slovakia.
The town of Vrbové with more than 5 500 inhabitants, is located at the foot of the Little Carpathians on the Trnavská hills and is only 10 km west of the spa town of Piešťany. It is interesting that Vrbová gained the status of a town in 1967 and thus became only the second town in the Piešťany district.
In the western part of the Nitra Uplands is the village of Velké Ripňany (Topolčany District) together with the local part of Behynec, which was an independent municipality until 1976. Take a walk with us through this village with more than two thousand inhabitants ..
This time we will take you to a small animal paradise, which has found its place near Piešťany, on the banks of the Sĺňava reservoir. The local Eko Park combines a contact zoo, unusual accommodation and a pleasant sitting.

In the last week, we walked through historic center of Piestany and ended up at its functionalist style Colonnade bridge dubbed the Glass bridge.
We got on the Lazensky island by crossing the Colonnade bridge. The island is nothing but an oasis of health veiled in landscaped nature criss-crossed with sidewalks. There are many small squares lined with historic buildings hidding great treasures.
Last week we introduced you to sights, nature nooks and amazing places of this spa town called Piestany. Today, we put an end to our walks here and visit private port on the other bank of the River Vah. From here we start off an adventurous cruise.
