The Museum of Jilov can be found in a building protected for its historical significance in the lower part of the square. The historic building was once home to the royal office or alchemist Eduard Kelley, who is dedicated to one of the expositions. Jilovsko is renowned for the mining and processing of gold and the Posazavi tramp site. The area once belonged to places with the most golden veins in Bohemia. From the exposition about this radiant metal you will learn many interesting facts and see some of the mines open to the public that remained in the area after mining. The courtyard of the museum is used for short-term exhibitions and the cellar is dedicated to the monastery of Ostrov
