The pictures were taken during last winter days. Why do not use it, walking to Karlštejn? You can go on monotony way along Berounka-river, or following tourist trails through beautiful countryside. We chose the second, and more adventurous, variant.

This Gothic Castle was founded by Bohemian King and Roman Emperor Chatles IV in 1348, originally from a reason, in order to Imperial Coronation Jewels and Saint Relics could be put there. Karlštejn belongs to most famous and most picturesque Bohemian Castles and it became rightly a symbol of Czech State.
In what other season when everything blossoms, one should this chateau? Also, the state chateau located in Mnisek pod Brdy, is extraordinary. Especially a park there.
Mnisek pod Brdy located below Brdsky Ridge, is a great place to set off on a trip around beautiful surroundings of Brdy. The town it self is also interesting.
Krivoklat – another obligatory stop if you will for any real tourist. For couple of centuries the castle is a gem in the protected landscape area of Krivoklatsko. It offers many things to its visitors, year round. This year Krivoklat celebrates 900 years since the first written mention about it.
Today we visit beautiful and mysterious places surrounded by forests, underground caves and tree-top paths.
For the next few weeks will guide you through the micro-region located between Prague and the Sázava River. A total of 24 municipalities joined in 2000 to create a fairy-tale area whose name is named after one of the greatest personalities of Czech culture - the painter and writer Josef Lada.
Today we will take you to a fabulous region surrounded by picturesque nature. More precisely, to a village where water sprites, ghosts and all kinds of animals that even speak live. Our goal will be the village Hrusice, located less than 40 kilometers from the historic center of Prague.
Last week we visited the beautiful town of Velké Popovice, just a few kilometers southeast of Prague, where we learned not only history but also local monuments and natural scenery. However, we deliberately omitted one landmark that is inextricably linked to the town. Perhaps you already know that the talk is about the local famous brewery, which you can visit with us now.
The Central Bohemian Region abounds in a number of interesting and beautiful places. One of them is the village of Soběhrdy, where a unique family park with animals and attractions is located.
Not far from the Orlík dam, on the next major Czech Kamyk water tank, we made a trip to the Middle Ages, and visited the ruins of the castle Kamýk above the Vltava - also called Vrškamýk or Hunec.
Last time we introduced you the ruins of the castle Žebrák, now we move a few hundred meters away - to the castle Točník, much more attractive part of the most preserved castle complex in the Czech Republic.
Important business and transportation junction, a modern and dynamic city, but also a place full of history - this is Benešov, from Prague distant less than fifty kilometres.
If you take one of famous images from painter and writer Lada and walk around Hrusice, you would recognize it only in hints. Although the reality of everyday life looks somewhat different from precise pictures, Lada´s sensitive and wonderland soul lives in a Hrusice till now. No doubt about it.
Štiřín, part of Kamenice, is the village situated close to the much better-known Velké Popovice, famous for its beer Velkopopovický kozel. But even in Štiřín it is possible to have a good local beer. Brewers in a family atmosphere of Štiřínská stodola (barn) recently started with producing of their own beer called Magnát.
Little and Big Bezdez - two peaks of Doksy hills, the larger one the castle Bezděz - more precisely - its ruins has decorate it number of years.
Chlumec nad Cidlinou is a small town, with Kinsky Castle dcominanta, proudly erecting above Cidlina-river. On the other hand: it is a place where the time was completely stopped. However, it happened during a period which was not too positive with its memories for Bohemian nation.
Beroun is easily accessible from Prague or from Plzeň. Thus in time when it is considered modern to live outside a big city, Beround becomes favorite plays for Prague “fugitive”. It is around 30 kilometers from Prague and it is well connected with the metropolis. To Plzeň it is about 75 kilometers from Beroun.
Horovice in the Region of Central Bohemia just offers itself as a mandatory stop during your journey across Horovicko microregion. They are also known for their good cast on show jumping.
Last week, we introduce you to the town, situated on the border of Kokorín Forest and the Cesky Kras, with Horovice in Central Bohemia. Today, we invite you to Horovice castle, the main tourist attraction.
Central-Bohemian town of Dobrichovice is a perfect tourist destination. It is located only thirty minutes to west from Prague. Moreover, the town is on a railway so your traveling there would be really easy.
The youngest of the three opened drift is opened near Jilove. It runs below a hill of the same name. Its most beautiful part dating back to the Middle-Ages waits for you at the end.
South end of Pysely is surrounded with mixed forest called Obora. There, a short nature trail was constructed on an already existent road.

Brides and grooms have said there so gentle like on a conveyor belt and homely tourist has a problem to do a proper photo. On Konopiště just live.
Berounka-river is not too interesting for watermen, it is calm flow which could even let asleep a Prince who would like to set free "The Sleeping Beauty". So, you cannot expect a lot of adrenalin experience. On the other hand, the river is very beautiful!
