The Koprova Valley is an important valley in the Tatras, through which run the boundaries between the West and the High Tatras. On the left are the hills of the Liptovske Kopy, which form the eastern edge of the Western Tatras. The right side already belongs to the High Tatras. We can begin a very nice all day tour either at the "former Vazecka cabin " signpost or from the Three Wells and following the crossing through the red path through the small crest. We will join the blue trail leading us to the "Hlinska Valley, estuary" signpost. Next continue along the green marked trail leading through the picturesque Kobyli valley to Zavory klippe (1 877 m above sea level). From there, we head down the red marked trail directly into Hladke klippe (1 993 m above sea level), which extends on the main ridge of the High Tatras. The views of the Ticha Valley and the Liptovské kopy, as well as the Polish part of the Tatra Mountains - the magical valley of Piecie Stawow Polskich and the mighty Svinica (2 301 m) and Kozi Wierch (2 291 m above sea level).

In the fourth part of our series about the safety on the mountains, we focus on morphologically related to mountains, and therefore we will focus on the Western and low Tatra. Their bedrock consists mainly of alumina surface, but not only part of Roháče and the section of Ďumbier - Chopok.
Today we move from the High Tatras to Western Tatras where we visit Žiarska valley where popular Žiarska Cottage is located (1324 meters above the sea level). This position is a great starting point for any trek to the regions of Braníkov and Barance.

The West Tatras are very attractive mountain ridge for tourists. These mountains are especially known for trek difficulty. Yet any tour along their ridges, into their klippes or climbs up Rohace's exposed ridge are worth it. However, you may make here an easy tour as well particularly to Preduvratie klippe.
Like the High Tatra West Tatra is also popular area. You can have some remarkable outdoor experience there. Both mountains seems to be one whole. However, unlike the High Tatra, West Tatra are lower. Its mountains are more covered of grass. Barance mountain (2 185 m) is a popular locality by tourists. This mountain is situated in the south of this mountain ridge.
There is something about making winter treks. Harsh, icy beauty of nature in winter tempts many people to set out to nature. We can make some more difficult trips even in Slovakian mountains, concretely in the Low Tatras, Western Tatras, and High Tatras. Placlivy mountain in the Western Tatras, is a locality accessible to tourist even during the winter season.
Just at the end of last year, I came to an understanding with my friend that this year's St. Valentine holiday we would prepare for our partners an unrepeatable experience in a form of so called „long weekend“ in High Tatra Mountains.
The one who loves adventure and is reasonably physically fit, undoubtedly would like a few tips about easy winter hikes Velka Studena Valley, located in the Slovak part of the High Tatras. A year-round open cottage, Zbojnicka Chata (1960 meters), which waits for us in this valley, offers a place to rest, refreshment and cozy accommodation. We can spend here a few days without getting away from the surrounding of Tatranian peaks. Keep in mind, however, that the motion in the Tatras in winter outside marked trails is very limited according to the TANAP rules!
Today we move to Malá Studená valley guarded by Téry Cottage located in 2015 meters above the sea level. The monumental Tatras and Pět Spišských ples surround the cottage and it is here more than a century to offer you a touch of history, refreshments of the present and unparalleled beauty.
Vysoke Tatra sis one of the most beautiful nature gems in Slovakia. These high mountains lure tourists for their grandiosity, monumentality and immesurable beauty of their deep valleys and sharp pyramidal peaks reaching up to the skies. Jehneci pyramidal peak (2 230 m) one of the accessible summits in the High Tatras. The climb is amazing and valuable experience.
It is not necessary to provide you with some extensive introduction of the High Tatras. These mountains are simply splendid. They lay in the heart of Europe, being a well-known and popular destination among domestic and foreign tourists. Mostly those who love alpine treks travel here frequently. Koprovsky peak (2367 m) is one of the most famous and most visited points of interest there.
