After a week, we return to Finland to visit other beautiful places in one of the happiest countries in the world. In addition to typical wooden houses of distinctive colors, you will find white plains, lakes, dense forests and artistic and modernist elements.

Today we take you to a small harbor town on the coast of Osthrobotnie. The city of Kokkola situated between Oula and Vaasa is not something that we would recommend you for an individual trip, however, if you pass by, you should stop there and see what they have.

You can get easily to Rovaniemi just like to other larger Finnish cities by plane. From the airport you can get to the city by regular public transportation. If you don’t mind long travelling you can get to Rovaniemi by train as well.
Suomenlinna Fortress - translated Finnish castle - was built in the 18th century literally on the porch of Helsinki, at that time not very important port city under the rule of the Swedes. It was the construction of this fortress that brought the city an influx of new inhabitants and a rapid development of infrastructure. It can therefore be said with certainty that without Suomenilnna, Helsinki would probably look completely different today.
Finnish national parks are considered among the most beautifulin the world. There are thousands of lakes in the southwest of the country and, in the Baltic Sea (near the coast), many islands covered of untouched nordic nature.
Today we visit the capital of Helsinki in the country also called Suomi. Despite the city is well-known and sought by tourists, don’t expect crowded streets. As the country in which it is situated, the city is calm and quite quiet.
Right after we traveled through the capitals of the Baltics, we moved by ship to Finland where we paid a visit to beautiful yet bit expensive Helsinki. Still, it would be a mistake to pass it for there is lots to see.

After another traveling across northern Finland we visit the sixth largest city of the country of thousand lakes – Oulu. The city has long history. Its golden era was in the 19th century when it became world tar production center. Thanks to this Oulu was not just a trade center, but also center of culture, education, and art.
Today we go to one of the islands near the Finnish capital of Helsinki. There are many islands yet only one island complex is that important that was with other six Finnish landmarks included to UNESCO’s list.

It might seem that those are opposite terms, picturesque and industrial. In Tampere, however, they managed to put everything together.
