Krivoklat – another obligatory stop if you will for any real tourist. For couple of centuries the castle is a gem in the protected landscape area of Krivoklatsko. It offers many things to its visitors, year round. This year Krivoklat celebrates 900 years since the first written mention about it.
Old buildings with arched portals are typical sight of Drevcice, a village near Prague. Across this very village St Wenceslas passed during his last ride to Brandys. There are many such edifices in the village. Local architecture will catch your attention. Despite they are truly enchanting, we are more interested in medieval fortress that was used to be known as Villa Dreucici.
We have already visited Kamenice in Central Bohemia. It was on the occasion of a visit to Stirin Chateau. There are however two chateaus in Kamenice. The other has the same name as the town – Kamenice.
There is a chateau, church and a village square with a large pub. Svojsice near Kolin do know how to appeal with its natural appearance. They are just what they are that’s why it is worth visiting it.
Welcome at Cesky Sternberk castle. It is one of the most beautiful of medieval places in the Czech Republic. It name suggests to which family the castle is related to.

Small but perfect romantic Berchtold chateau is located in Kunice-Vidovice, approximately 25 kilometers from Prague.
The chateau in Brandys nad Labem had liked most significant Czech sovereigns. Bred him so that at his summer residence near Prague felt as possible. Now the result of their effort is available to us, the ordinary folk.
How punker Kodym and Becvary Castle go together? Simply. He bought it and, as a matter of fact, he saved it. You can find Kodym’s residence about 15 kilometers from Kolin.
The church in Kourim used to be an important sacral building. The church used to be a residency of clergy as well. It was built towards the end of the Middle-Ages. However, its true history has not been preserved.
Who likes history and war certainly knows Losany, a village, near which the battle of Kolin took place.
Interesting and picturesque town is located on a border of two regions – Prague East and Kolin. According to the authorities, it used to be part of Kolin. However, few years ago somebody decided that Kostelec nad Cernymi lesy would far better if it is closer to Prague. So now it is definitively in the Prague East district.
It is easy to find a pathway leading to Skvorec castle located in the town of the same name in the region of Kolin. You just ask locals or go along the main road.
I am not sure if it is meaningful to invite you to a place every Czech knows very well – Karlstejn Castle.
Less than twenty kilometers from Kolin is a small town, small but cozy Zasmuky. Today, we live less than two thousand people.
One of the interesting stops in the region of Podlipansko is Klasterni Skalice, a small central-Bohemian village. Its name suggest a monastery used to be there.
This place, which covers mere 4 square kilometers, is regarded as one of the most beautiful in Central Europe. Some say that only Karlstejn or ancient Tetin are better.
Central-Bohemian town of Dobrichovice is a perfect tourist destination. It is located only thirty minutes to west from Prague. Moreover, the town is on a railway so your traveling there would be really easy.
