Neratovice
According to archeologists´ verifications this area was colonized just in Primaveral Age, and discoveries proved the colonization of Celtics, Germans and successively Slavs in this place. Neratovice started to develop with the construction of railway line in middle of 19th century and became an important railway junction. In consequence to reach better transport accessibility, the factory for production of candles, oils and soaps was established. Anyway, after 2nd World War there were built Lachema chemical factory and ingloriously renowned Spolana factory.
Together with industry development increased a number of inhabitants and the construction of new dwelling places started. As to historical monuments: it is a Baroque chapel of St. Ethelbert of middle of 17th century and a quarter of Lobkovice, which preserved a character of a village. On place of Lobkovocz stronghold there was at the end of 17th century established a small castle, where stayed in 19th century František Palacký with his family.
Near to Spolana factory there is situated nature reservation Černínovsko. In general, Neratovice offers possibilities for rich cultural and sports´ activities. Footbal team of Spolana Neratovice plays second Gambrinus league and local swimmin-pool is well-known, too. ´
