Uherské Hradiště
The historic nucleus of town is declared as a town´s preserved zone. Uherské Hradiště has an interesting sign – two squares ( Square of St Virgin Mary and Masaryk Square). To most important monuments of a town belong: Church of St.Frank Xaverius and Church of Blessed Virgin Mary, pharmacy „At Golden Crown“, Gate of Mathias,Old Town Hall and Jewish Synagogue. You can visit several galleries as well as Museum of Slovácko Region in Smetana Orchard (Smetanovy sady).
A castle of Buchlovice is situated not far from city centre. Slovácké Theatre is operating in a town. Several festivals - such as Summer Film Review(Summer Film School) and Festival of Music Instruments – are taken place reularly every year.
As to further cultural events: they are organized by folklore, singing or other communions of interest. The town is situated at foot of Chřiby Hills and Bílé Karpaty Mountains. Its surroundings offer diverse nature. The town undergoes big changes in last years, a lot of historical monuments were reconstructed and many new buildings and constructions appeared.
