Another tip for an active weekend in the Czech Republic is a visit to the beautiful Kokořínsko area. There are ideal conditions for hikers, but recently Kokořínsko has become more and more known to cyclists and especially bikers. There are so-called Kokostezky (Kokořínské stezky), which are forest paths, footpaths and trails around the castle Kokořín, but also Housky and partially reach up to Bezděz.

The town situated on both banks of the Sázava River is known for its romantic nature trails, the most famous of which is the Posázavská. The romantic character of the landscape is enhanced by the slopes above the river bed and on one of the hills the gem of the Sázava Monastery. The Sázava region also became a place for many glass factories, as crystalline limestone was mined here. One of the resurrected glassworks is Huť František.

Kutná Hora is one of the most beautiful cities in the Czech Republic. Before heading to the famous historic center, be sure to stop by in the Sedlec district, which houses the ossuary and the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and St. John the Baptist. The ossuary is decorated almost exclusively with human bones. These are the remains of plague epidemics and Hussite wars. Then you can head to the very center of Kutna Hora. For example, start with the Italian Court.

Kloboucek is a bit in the shadow of Tok, Prague, Tremosna and other known peaks, but it is definitely worth a visit. Kloboucek is easily accessible from nearby Obecnice and a new forest trail leads to it.
