CZ: Nymburk - A Town Of Bohumil Hrabal
CZ: From Srbsko To Karlštejn
The pictures were taken during last winter days. Why do not use it, walking to Karlštejn? You can go on monotony way along Berounka-river, or following tourist trails through beautiful countryside. We chose the second, and more adventurous, variant.

CZ: Komorní Hrádek
Komorní Hrádek Castle is normally not open for public. At present, the spaces serve as Defence Ministry Education Centre .Within past decades, the complex undergone many reconstruction changes. A part of historical valuable elements was preserved and restored.

CZ: Červený Újezd Castle
If you are interested in history, would you try to visit a private complex, the work of enthusiastic persons in Prague-West district. This group of people built, within 2001-2002, Červený Újezd Castle. The name got according to the locality where it is situated. In Castle area, a museum, where the originals of instruments and equipment of workshops of traditional handicrafts are placed, including Knight´s Hall and pub, where old Bohemian meals and drinks are served. The castle is open all year round. It is surrounded with beautiful garden and skansen - survey of characteristic buildings from past.

CZ: Poděbrady - Short Break
The city on the Elbe is known mainly from two perspectives - as a famous spa and a round tower typical of the local castle, which today is place for education. Even a short walk around the city, however, provide insight into the interesting nooks and feel the breath of history associated with the city, experience from which a man long kept in my heart. After all, they say - for the heart is Poděbrady town.

CZ, Vinarice: Mayrau Mine
In Miners’ Open Air Museum of Mayrau , you would learn about history of black coal mining in the Kladno region. You will ride on miner tracks to an underground mine. This mine used one of the most important in the region of Kladno, yet also it was one of the most difficult. It applies not only to difficult and dangerous work for low salary. It also applies to mine surveying, rescue, way of work, geology etc.
The name ing. Jan Karlík would not sound strange to you, as well as JUDr. Kajetán Mayer the then head of administration committee of Prazska Zelezarska Company. It is the latter’s name used to name the mine itself.

CZ: Cesky Sternberk Castle
One of few castles which are privately owned. The owner lives with is family on the ground floor. One floor above them tourists crowds go here and there. The caste sits on the Sazava rock near Prague. There is complex range of services. Apart from box office, souvenir's there is a restauration where you will be quickly served. The castle belongs to a family which has a star in their coats of arms. It was confiscated twice yet it was returned to them eventually. The story of hwo the equipment was preserved in good condition is a matter of a guided tour.

CZ, Nizbor – Chateau Full of the Celts
The chateau with farm buildings and garden forms a large complex, in which the Celtic Culture Information Center was founded in 2004. Here you will learn much about our ancestors - how they lived, ate, worked, created, and something from their spiritual world. Thanks to archaeology, you will learn that the Celts were skilled craftsmen, great merchants, warriors and conquerors.

CZ, Jilove u Prahy: Regional Museum
The Museum of Jilov can be found in a building protected for its historical significance in the lower part of the square. The historic building was once home to the royal office or alchemist Eduard Kelley, who is dedicated to one of the expositions. Jilovsko is renowned for the mining and processing of gold and the Posazavi tramp site. The area once belonged to places with the most golden veins in Bohemia. From the exposition about this radiant metal you will learn many interesting facts and see some of the mines open to the public that remained in the area after mining. The courtyard of the museum is used for short-term exhibitions and the cellar is dedicated to the monastery of Ostrov

CZ, Ratmerice: Following the Ones´ Trail
The nature trail will take you through the surroundings of the village of Ratmerice. Individual stoppages will bring you closer to the difficult period of the Thirty Years' War through the perspective of peasant Ones. The trail comes from the center of the village and connects with the educational trail of the battle of Jankov adjacent to Jankov.

CZ, Kacina Chateau – Empire Estate of the Chots Family
The representative chateau structure was built at the beginning of the 19th century by Jan Rudolf Chotek and became the home of the nearby Nové Dvory chateau. The extensive arched building was situated on the formerly created botanical garden, from which the chateau park became a chateau and today it is a nature trail. The Kačina Chateau houses the Museum of the Czech Countryside - a branch of the National Agricultural Museum. It offers several sightseeing tours, thematic exhibitions and many events throughout the year.

CZ, Magical Hrusice
Accept the invitation to a small walk in one Central Bohemian village, which is inherently associated with the name of the phenomenal painter and the writer Josef Lada. It is the author's hometown of Hrusice, which offers a memorial to Josef Lada and his daughter Alena with a museum, a late Romanesque church from the beginning of the 13th century, a pub where the famous battle and dance took place, as well as many other memorable places or architectural treasures.

CZ, Soběhrdy – Family Farmapark
If you like nature and animals, be sure to visit the village of Soběhrdy in the Benešov district, where a unique family estate has grown up. You will see more than 250 animals - from farm animals to exotic ones, walk through the woods, around lakes, try various attractions (huge trampolines, lake cruises, tubing tracks, train ride, jeep ...) and last but not least taste good food. The Farmpark also offers great vistas, sunbathing, barbecue and guided tours. We offer a small tasting from this remarkable place in today's photo gallery.

CZ, Sázava – Bohemia's Gem
Join us to a trip to the river of Sázava, which offers in addition to the golden surface and beautiful natural scenery, many historical sites and monuments proudly standing on its banks. We visited a section around the village of Čtyřkoly, where we enjoyed a ferry across the river and a walk through the river spa, climbed to the ruins of Zlenice Castle and finally walked in the woods along the stream of Mnichovka.

CZ, Sázava – František Smelter
One of the oldest Sázava smelters today serves as a learning and social center. Her products under the brand Kavalier or Simax have become famous all over the world. In the exposition you will find old cooling furnaces, a gallery with works of famous artists and in the glass exposition you will learn about the production and history of local glassmaking. The glassworks course will give you insight into the secrets of the old craft and create your own product.

CZ, Stará Huť – The Karel Čapek Nature Trail
Choose one of the three routes according to the length and embark on the Karel Čapek circular path. From the car park in Stará Huť near Dobříš, you will head around the Karel Čapek Memorial, a summer residence where the Czech writer rested and created at the end of his life. At each stop, you can get to know the local history, fauna and flora better by means of information panels. The path is marked with a pictogram of the dog Dášeňka, a puppy from Čapek's most famous children's work.

CZ, Vestec – Walk Around the Pond
This time we invite you to an autumn walk to the village of Vestec near Prague, where an extensive sports and recreation area has been built, which together with the local pond offers active relaxation in the arms of nature. Children's visitors will find a number of play elements, romantic souls can take a walk on the wooden piers crossing the lake or take a photo with a waterman, lovers of nature trails will find a "planetary trail" and sportsmen will find a football or workout field. You can fly a kite in the vast meadow, stroll among the relatively newly planted orchard or take your bike and ride one of the several bike paths.
