It is situated in the northeastern part of Czech Republic. It is a territory with high developped mining, metalurgy, machinery and chemical industry. Unfortunately, in consequence of presence of these heavy industries, came to the pollution of  living environment.

This path is 33 kms long and is suitable for foot-passengers, cyclists and for skiers in winter saison. You can short it along several marked lines of communication. As you can see from the name, this path is aimed to petrifications´ findings, first of all of slate (it is local standard raw material in Low Jeseník Mountains). The pilgrims could visit, in the course of walking, most important places of slate mining. Along the route, you pass thirteen stops with information tables, explaining local history. The path is variegated with several perished minings with small lakes. If you will be attentive enough, you can even find some fossils!
