Region of Nitra - Slovakia
Nitra Region has extent of 6343 square kilometres. It is located on southwest of Slovak Republic, bordering in south with Hungary, in west with Trnava region, in north with Trenčín region and on east with Košice region. Its axis is made by Nitra river, joining north and south part of region.

Slovakia: Šal'a
The town of Šala is situated on south-west part of Slovakia, in Danube plainland, inside Žitný ostrov, protected water - economical area. It is spreaded along both banks of lowsection of Váh-river. In 1960, an independent community of Veča was joined to Šala.
Many people are able to imagine, mentioning the name of Šala, only great chemical complex Duslo, Ltd., the biggest producer of nitrogen fertilizers in Slovakia.
Nevertheless, we wish to present you in our photo-gallery, the town of Šala as calm and nice town, which is worth to visit.

SVK: Komárno - A Town Of Memorials
South Slovak town of Komárno has rather rich history. As an evidence, these are many monuments and sightseeings along each step. However, their actual state does not always correspond to its importance as well as tourist potential. As an eloquent example, it is romantic point of headland, along tributary of two biggest Slovak rivers - Váh and Danube - inaccessible behind fenced enclosure. Even extent historical citadel, seized by Soviet Army troops till recent time, dilapidated from its great part, is waiting for its new sensual utilization. Nor famous natives are not enjoyed with sufficient respect. This fact is supported with a photo of monument, dedicated to Ladislav Pohrobek, Bohemian and Hungarian King. When we visited this place, the monument was covered with advertisement base presenting some coffee-house. Nevertheless, some monuments would not be let to erected, as a consequence of political passions, but would serve for beautifying of the town, reminding as permanent remembrance for future generations.

SK, Kolarovo - Floating Water Mill
Floating water mill in Kolarovo was originally located on a different place. It originates from renovation of the original Radvansky water mill that had operated on the Danube near the town of Radvan nad Dunajem, near Komarno. Today it is a National Cultural Heritage and it is whole year opened to the public. You can get to the floating water mill via the longest wooden roofed bridge in Europe. Its lenght is impressive 86 meters and its width 2,5 meters. On its compounds also are small technical museum, camping, children playground, farm, inn, or roofed stage.

SK, Nitra - City at Zobor
The city of Nitra is one of the oldest Slovakian cities. There are important landmarks serving as evidence of its fasinating history. Picturesque nature adds to its unique diversity as there are many hills, parks, and green riverbanks. Nitra is a city of students, diverse architecture, people, and it is also the foundation stone to Slovakian history. You should definitely see it - if not in person, then at least via our gallery.

SK, Podhajska - Salt Water Village
Nearby Levice there is the village of Podhajska, the home to many thermal springs which by content are very similar to the water in the Dead Sea . The water is not the only thing unique at this place. Local services are of the top class. There is an aqua park, Roman spa or great restaurants. You can go to the cinema here, see some nice churches or just walk in the town. Children will love a mini Zoo.

SK, Drazovce – A Romantic Church
One of Nitra's borroughts boasts unique Romanesque church of Archangel Michael constructed in the 12th century. Its unimaginable beauty and mysterious atmosphere makes it one of the most popular landmarks to depict in Slovakia. What makes it unique is its amazing condition, archeological findings, and mostly its unique atmosphere. See for yourself on our photos.

SK: Certova Pec Nature Sight
Near Radosin there is a unique nature site of Certova Pec. The kars cave is freely accessible to thegeneral public. Inside you may see some of the oldest remains of Prehistoric settlement in Slovakia. Nearby, there is a roadhouse of the same name and adjacent to it a small preserve.

SK, Hurbanovo – The Town of Weather, Stars, and Beer
When you talk about Hurbanovo, you may remember three things typical of this South Slovak town. The first is the weather, because there is a weather station, the other is the stars (thanks to the seat of the Slovak Central Observatory) and the third is the famous Slovakian brewery. But Hurbanovo offers many historical monuments and sights, parks and remarkable personalities. So do not hesitate to join us for this photo-tour.

SK, Štúrovo – Slovakia´s Southernmost Town
Southwest of the confluence of the Danube and the river Hron lies the town of Štúrovo, which abounds in several unique sights. These are, for example, the waterfront promenade offering a view of the breathtaking Classicist Esztergom Basilica, the Baroque parish church of St. Imrich, the Marie Valérie cross-border bridge, a memorial park with monuments or, last but not least, the sought-after Vadaš thermal swimming pool.
