The river sources in Smrčiny Hills in Germany, to Czech territory flows as navigable small river near to community of Pomezí. It takes waters from Ore Mountains mostly, partially from an area of Doupovské Mountains. It flows through towns of Cheb, Karlovy Vary, Žatec, and near to Litoměřice it mouths into Labe (Elbe). The navigable section makes 240 kms.
It is available along the river in various towns and places.

Žatec: Gothic church, three churches.
