River description:
This river sources in germany and flows to Czech territory in Lužické Mountains in an altitude of 505 m. From here, it flows to the south , and near to Branná it mouths from its right side to Ploučnice-river. Its river basin makes 133 km². The river flows through forests of Lužické Mountains via not deep valley, from community of Zákupy meandres to Ploučnice along meadows. The weirs on the flow could be passable but it is better to check it first.
The river bed is stony on some places, only on its central flow, when Svitávka flows through sandstone rocks, the river bed is 6-8 wide, partially overgrown and unclear.
