This route acquaints you with national national reservation Bohdaneč Pond and Matka (Mother) Pond. Both ponds are watered with artificially constructed Opatovice Canal. Bohdaneč Pond has an extention of 158 ha. The route starts at the road Lázně Bohdaneč-Chlumec nad Cidlinou. The route leads you mostly throughout humid forests and meadows. In the outskirts, there are appearing rare sorts of animals and plants. Both ponds serve as a nest place of very menaced sorts of birds. Along the path, there are nine information tables, including small maps for better orientation. The route terminates at reservation border.
