Nová Paka is a small town near to Krkonoše (Giant Mountains) , surrounded with many places of interest. The outskirts are suitable for touring and cycling.

You can spend here an interesting cyclotourist holidays, suitable also for less efficient persons, thanks to moderate hills´character.

As to cultural monuments: you can admire original houses in Nová Paka, castle of Pecka, situated 7 kms distant from Paka, or town´s museum in Nová Paka. As to historical monuments, the area is not so interesting, but we are of an opinion that the walks in nature make troubles to nobody.

In Nová Paka we find a brewery, supplying its beer to pubs nearby in a region. The production of beer was started by local people in the middle of 13th century. Originally, the beer was brewed in wooden brewery, howere this completely burned  in 1536. Within 600 years there was no beer production, but the citizens returned the town this tradition.
