River Javornice - Czech republic
The river sources west of Rakovník, near to Velká Chmelištná at an altitude of 558 m of sea level.

Javornice river is navigable during snow-thaws in spring or after strong rains only.
Its navigability can be judged at the river-mouth to Berunka in Zvíkovec.
The navigation is slowed- down by trees laying in the river bed, otherwise, the drive is passing quite quickly. The valley is romantic and desert, no civilisation.
The river sources western of Rakovník near to Velká Chmelištná, and flows prevalently to the south and southeast. The river-basin makes 141 km2. The small river flows first through several ponds ,cuts to the terrain subsequently and the valley becomes more deep.
Before the confluence with Krakovský brook the stony river-bed is 6-8 m wide and with greater slope. The most important obstacles there are two stone-steps near to gamekeeper´s house Čertovec, otherwise incommode the trees laying in the river-bed, as the river flows throughout the forests in this section. The difficulty of this section does not exceed WW I, but near to Čertovec can reach WW II-III, according to the water-level.
The suitable camping place can be found near to Berounka in Zvíkovec.
