Your excursion could be started in Prague-Řeporyje.In this area, you could discover and see so many geological, archaeological, zoological or botanical places of interest, as in no other similar place of Prague territory could be watched. This area is formed with sedimented minerals from older Primary rocks. At the end of Tertiary formation, Central Bohemia area was flat country, later Vltava-river and Dalejsky brook started to deepen inside.
From this reason, you can find here caves and other karst formations. In last century, the area became afforested. Trees planting out was effected on former fields, so especially acacia and black pine were planted here. In this locality, you can find also quarries, where limestone (calcite) was excavated. When the mining was finished, the quarries reminded without any cultivation. So, now, you can see in these places geological profiles as well as paleontological finding places. It is true that quarry walls collapses could occure, as they are not secured. So, they fill up part of geological profiles, and enable to find and collect some fossils on this path.
