River Žirovnice - Czech republic
The river sources in Českomoravská vrchovina (Bohemian-Moravian Highland), near to the community of Pelec in an altitude of 658 m of sea level.

It flows to southwest, where, near to Jarošov units its waters with Kamenice and form the river of Nežárka. Its river- basin makes the surface of 129 km². The river sources in Českomoravská vrchovina (Bohemian-Moravian Highland). This small river flows through a flat countryside between meadows, near Kamenný Malíkov it cuts suddenly into short deep valley with gradual rapid and flows to the plainland again, where it bends to its confluence. The weirs are not passable. Žirovnice river is navigable at high water level during snow-thaw or after heavy rains. The navigability can be estimated in Kamenný Malíkov, at the bridge. The navigation is, however, complicated a little by overgrown banks, and the rapids after Kamenný Malíkov could be a surprise for non-experienced watermen.
It is possible to reserve in Žirovnice or Jindřichův Hradec. We find also the suitable camping place in Žirovnice, approx. 2 kms in the eastern direction.
