River description:

This brook flows from Skalnaté pleso (Rocky Lake – 1750 m). It flows in southeast direction. It is left-side confluence of Poprad-river, where it mouths near to the community of Velká Lomnica. Its river bed takes 34 square kilometres, the length of the whole flow is 16 kms, and only 5,6 kms are navigable.

In navigable section –i.e. from FICC Eurocamp, Skalnatý brook flows through 3-7 metres wide river bed , with gravelly bottom and stones, creating some rapids among overgrown banks. Later, the brook forms in dense trees many turnings and meanders.

Many unexpected obstacles make here alluvial stones and law foot-bridges.
