River description:

This brook is created by confluence of Velký (Great) and Malý (Small) Studený potok (Cold Brook) at Kamzík Chalet (1540 m) in Studenovodská dolina (Cold Water Valley). Its flow directs mostly in southeast direction, and in the community of Velká Lomnica, it mouths into Poprad river from its left side. The brook-basin takes 29 km², 5 kms are navigable.

Studený potok (Cold Brook) has a character of mountain torrent, with stone or gravel river bottom, 5-10 m wide in its navigable part. In its alluvial part, there is dividing into several unclear meander shoulders with overgrown banks. In its wide loer section, there are exploitations of  gravels and sands.
