Today we will visit the best-preserved historical center in Slovakia, which the town of Bardejov rightly boasts. A total of 46 stone houses situated on narrow medieval plots with a predominantly Gothic appearance not only give this city historical authenticity, but it was also an impetus for its inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Today's tip for a trip will be Lakšárská Nová Ves, a village located in the southwestern part of Slovakia, in the middle of the Záhorská lowland, in the Morava river basin. It is 17 km away from the district town of Senica and consists of two cadastral areas, namely Lakšárská Nová Ves and Mikulášov. It borders Šaštín-Stráže, Borský Mikuláš or the Záhorie military district.

After last week's visit to Bohdanoviec nad Trnavou, we will cross the bridge to the neighboring village of Šelpice. They are only 6 km northwest of the regional city of Trnava. They became famous mainly due to embroidery, viticulture and theater activities of local amateurs.

Today we will end our walk around Dolný Kubín with a visit to monuments, attractions or sports grounds located just a short distance from the historic center. From the Town Hall, we headed back to Kohútový sady, where, in addition to a parking lot with a pleasant café, there is also an eye-catching rectory building with a garden.

Less than 8 such from Trnava, in the central part of the Trnava Uplands, lies the village of Bohdanovce nad Trnavou. This medium-sized village is immediately adjacent to the villages of Šelpice and nearby to the villages of Boleráz, Dolná Krupá or Špačince.

A week ago, we ended our walk through Dolný Kubín in the so-called Kohútový sad. Let's continue to the pedestrian zone of the historic center, which decorates the beautiful Hviezdoslav Square. It consists of a terraced development of colorful burgher houses used as retail space and for the purposes of restaurants or offices.

After walking through the village of Radošovce, when we returned home, we stopped in Jaslovské Bohunice, which is known to us thanks to the nearby presence of a nuclear power plant. Specifically, we visited the municipal part of Paderovce. It is interesting that three decades ago this part was an independent municipality, so it is no wonder that it still offers several beautiful sights to see.

Last week we briefly imagined the history of Dolní Kubín and today we will go for a walk through its alleys, squares and interesting nooks. We start at Náměstí Svobody, which is surrounded by three architecturally monumental buildings.

Approximately 15 km from the regional town of Trnava in the beautiful valley of the Blava stream lies the village of Radošovce. Its nearby neighbors are the spa town of Piešťany, Hlohovec Castle or the famous Leopoldov Prison. Today we set out to get to know this unusual village, which was administratively established not so long ago (January 1, 1991), by separating from Jaslovské Bohunice.

This time we will go to Orava, more precisely to the district town of Dolný Kubín. The town of almost 20,000 is set in the valley of the river Orava and is surrounded by the majestic mountains of the Orava Highlands and Orava Magura. The peaks of Malá Fatra or Chočské vrchy also stand out in the background.
