Last week, we concluded our article while at the beginning of the new bike trail Jurava. In its proximity, the Nature Reservation of Sur is located. It is also called Jursky Sur. It was hard to resist temptation not to turn off our trail. We eventually did so to admire unique marshland.

With our camcorder we move to Spisske Podhradie town. Above on a cliff lures one of Slovakia’s largest castle compounds – Spissky Castle. Once we rode on bikes from Petrzalka across the Pristavni Bridge along the Small Danube and across Vrakunsky forest we found ourselves at the airport. From there we will continue to our first place of interest the M. R. Stefanik Memorial.

At a former mine compound which is a cultural sight today, there are some ground routes. One will take you to the former bunker in Homole hill. There is an underground shaft with heavy machines. Two routes are available – first one takes two hours or the second one which takes one hour. An authentic lecture begins because former miners who worked at Mayrau mne work here as tour guides.

We travel to eastern Slovakia after a while. There we will see some unique places. The first one is Herlany town, about 28 kilometers from Kosice. The town is in picturesque land at the foothills of the Slanske Hills and the Herlansky creek.

Last week we made a tour from Dechtice to the church and monastery of St Catherine. This nice stroll inspired us to make another trip – this time to Dobra Voda town, couple of kilometers away. The town boasts with a beautiful ruin of a castle and Jan Holly.

In our today’s journey across Slovakia we visit a remarkable ruin located in the region of Trnava only 3 kilometers from Dechtice. People call it Katarinka yet its official name is church and monastery of Saint Catherine of Alexandria.

Our trip in one of the oldest cities in Slovakia is getting to the end. Last time we paid our visit to the Calvary and Lurdska Cave. Then we went to Nitra’s riverbank called Wilson Riverbank where we concluded last section.

Upon conclusion to Nitra Castle tour we had a coffee and thus made impressions of beautiful trip last longer. When we finished drinking our drinks we followed the Royal Trail back to Nitra center, i.e. Lesser Town.

The castle is not a historical building yet it enjoys high number of visitors. Couple of kilometers west from Prague a structure that looks like a castle was built in 2002. You can see there couple of architecture styles. The garden and its structures is nice thing there. The true historical sight there is the 17th century Hajek Monastery.

On my road from Cádiz to Toledo, I spent couple of days in Lisbon. I think I really deserve some comfort and a shower. Thus, I would live in a hostel this time.

We entered the first courtyard if Nitra Castle while going across a stone bridge. The direction board led us to the road to its individual parts. We started our exploration on a path going to outlook territory where the Diocese Museum is located as well as a bishopric palace.
