Region Stubai has many interesting places to see. The most visited include the Stubai Valley, which has the skiing area Stubaier Gletscher, Schlick 2000, Serlesbahnen Mieders and Elferlifte.

Maybe you will seem at first glance that the ski area work well, but in fact each is different and unique. This ski centers are built to suit everyone including real winter sports enthusiasts. In addition to sports facilities both offer traditional and varied gastronomy and culinary events.

Paradise for Those Who Love Winter

 Stubaital Valley is located close to Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol. With this fantastic location is sought out by visitors from all over the world. You will see! With 59 well-maintained slopes and ski routes. There, from October until June, you can enjoy great skiing, this location is truly the kingdom of snow. The largest glacier region Austria is, also, the best address for those who like freestyle and freeride. For fans of the family atmosphere there is Skizentrum Schlick 2000. Equally interesting are the ski areas Serlesbahnen in Mieders and Elferlifte in Neustift. Both offer daytime but also at night, memorable sledding total of up to six paths. For winter hikers again valley offers a unique backdrop and Serles a solid Elfer, all of which can be indescribably admire the scenery of this picturesque region.

Stubai region offers a variety of activities on and off the slopes. Sledding, winter hiking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing or flying, it's all part of the amazing winter here every year that experienced by thousands of tourists and vacationers. The unusual entertainment will take care of natural toboggan runs various categories, idyllic winter hiking and snowshoe trails in deep snow . Supporters of ice skating can chase after the prepared surfaces rinks, extreme entertainment enthusiasts have the opportunity to explore around the world thanks to paragliding and hang gliding, or climb using ice axes and crampons frozen waterfalls and ice tower at Stubaier Gletscher.

The above-mentioned options offers several region. For example, did you know that the largest toboggan arena Tyrol is located right in Stubai region, actually in Stubai valley? Altogether there are 11 tracks with a total length of over 40 km! In addition, you do not have to start sledging trudge on foot. Wonderful winter trails in Stubai valley will delight the heart of every winter tourists . Nordic sports fans there have a chance to ski on a 72 km track with narrow tracks for classic and free technique, most of trails run in parallel. Parents and children will not want to miss the opportunity to move the smooth, ice. Ideal options offer two ice rinks in the villages of Neustift and Fulpmes, where you can also play curling or have fun at the disco on ice. Extremely brave alpinists should not miss climbing in winter. For example, the 20 meter high tower of ice on Stubaier Gletscher , near the top station Gamsgarten , or if possible on frozen waterfalls . Climbing the ice tower is even for free, however, you have to know climbing techniques. Even higher, up over the mountain peaks covered with snow, you climb there, or paraglide or hang gliding . Paragliders may start from the top station of the cable cars Elfer and Schlick 2000 and enjoy during the flight glittering backdrop of mountains surrounding Stubaital.

Experience great action

In conclusion, we give you a few tips how to get to great events. Carnival is celebrated in the mountains and therefore you should not miss the snow olympics, face painting, snow castle building or running on a glacier with cotton candy in Stubaier Gletscher ski resort, or stretching the rope, marshmallow barbecue, throwing candy or applying carnival makeup in ski center Schlick 2000. This starts on March 4th ,2014. A few days later an exceptional open air concert will take place there (March 16th, 2014). One of the last events of the winter season will be the so-called Feast of the End of Winter (April 19th, 2014), which stir up great fun and you will remember it for a long time.
