Cambodia, Koh Rong Sanloem – Unchartered Island Paradise

Spring Reading Is Brought to You By:
Koh Rong Sanlo Island is located 18 kilometers west of Sihanoukville in the Gulf of Thailand. It is approximately forty-five minutes from the mainland and you only get a boat. The island is very small, with only 9 km long and 5 km wide. It is surrounded by other small islands, thanks to which you can enjoy a very calm sea and pleasant air. For tourists it is available all year round. The biggest boom is in European school holidays from July to August, but the most popular period for visiting is from December to March.
The Saracen Coast is the absolute number one. You will find one of the best beaches on the island. Just as you can see in the catalog - clear water, a long, white-sand beach. There are luxurious apartments, but also numerous beach bungalows. On the coast of Saracen we also find the main pier connecting the island with the mainland. From here you can go to the bigger and more famous island of Koh Rong. On the west side of the island there are other beaches with yellow sand - Lazy Beach and Sunset Beach. If you want to go to one of these two beaches, you have to go through the jungle. Sunset Beach is a great place to watch sunset. Be careful, snakes, monkeys, giants and spiders live in the jungle.
While you can relax on the beach, someone else can enjoy the trek to the jungle. You can also rent a boat, borrow a mountain bike, try a kayak ride or simply relax. Diving centers can also be found on the island. You can go snorkeling and fishing. All equipment will be provided by local residents or rental owners. Internet coverage is poor and data transmission may be slow. Maybe it's your chance! Turn off your phone and take a rest from your everyday life. You will not find any ATMs on the island. Electricity is available only a few hours a day.
Visit Koh Rong Sanloem before it's full of tourists. They plan to build hotels and a golf course here.
