The castle dubbed often Hlaska thanks to its preserved tower, sits above the Senohraby outdoor swimming pool. Its founding dates back to the end of the 13th century. It used to be a residence of the Lords of Zlenice, an important noble family in the Sazava region.

The access road gets you to a car park below the castle. By crossing a small bridge by the outdoor swimming pool, it gets you to Bastirna restaurant. Then you hike through forest up mild hill to the remains of a cylindrical tower rising above the treetops. Below the castle, there are trails and bike trails crossing an area below the castle. It is only up to you which one you take to reach the castle ruin. Vodnicke Vychazky nature trail also goes through the area. It runs to Senohraby train station. The trip we are about to make today is not for everyone. A narrow trail on the hillside is not very friendly to hikers. Some sections are to be overcome only thanks to chain railing. You will go uphill or downhill constantly. The 6.5 kilometers trail is no way to be shortened. Moreover, there are no snack stands let alone a pub. So? Are you still down to it? You are about to experience an adrenaline trip with a bonus of a beautiful vista over the Vltava meander and wilderness.
