SK, High Tatras – Solisko Family Hotel
The High Tatras attract tourists with its winter landscape, rich sports and a wide range of services. If you are looking for relaxation in the bosom of nature, we recommend amazing accommodation in the family Hotel Solisko, which is only 13 kilometers away from the D1 motorway towards Strbske Pleso. You can also get here by train.
When visiting the Solisko you will find yourself in the arms of nature. Every day you can enjoy a stroll around the most typical moraine lake in the High Tatras - Strbske Pleso, in winter you will find groomed cross-country trails, in the summer boat ride on the clear surface. You can see why this area is so special from the nearby educational boards. You can head to Furkotská or Mlynická valley and just 1.5 km away is a holiday resort with cable car, which will take you to the cabin of the same name, where you will enjoy the beautiful vista.
The history of the former imperial court resort began in the 19th century. At the beginning there was a villa Augusta, later it was replaced by Jiskra and after 1945 there was a newly reconstructed building Solisko serving as a children's sanatorium. The hospital was demolished in 1994, but a new one is being built within three years. Gradually, the sanatorium is transformed into a hotel (2011) with a focus on families with children and in fact all those who like the Tatras within reach.
At present, the hotel offers superior accommodation in 28 rooms, of which up to 17 have a view of the Strbske Pleso. There are DeLuxe rooms and a royal suite, as well as a wheelchair-accessible room. The family-run hotel features the Al Lago Restaurant, under the direction of Chef Martin Kurhajec, which offers traditional Mediterranean cuisine with a selection of Slovak specialties. The emphasis is mainly on fresh and original ingredients, and therefore the meals retain the right original taste. Your gastronomic experience will be enhanced by a rich selection of fine wines and rums. There is also a children's playsite.
And after quality accommodation and good food, you can also indulge in the wellness area. It offers relaxation for hotel guests after hikes, skiing, carriage rides or even doing nothing on the terrace. There are Finnish, infra and steam sauna, cooling pool, foot massage bath, shower showers, whirlpool, relaxation area and fitness center.
Family Hotel Solisko is an ideal place for holding celebrations, anniversaries, weddings or corporate trainings and meetings. It also offers several special stays designed not only for families, but also for seniors young couples or holiday tourists.
If you decide to spend your days off in the High Tatras, we recommend accommodation in the hotel Solisko. You can find the best hotel reservations directly through the hotel website here.
