The history of the former imperial court resort began in the 19th century. At the beginning there was a villa Augusta, later it was replaced by Jiskra and after 1945 there was a newly reconstructed building Solisko serving as a children's sanatorium. The hospital was demolished in 1994, but a new one is being built within three years. Gradually, the sanatorium is transformed into a hotel (2011) with a focus on families with children and in fact all those who like the Tatras within reach.

At present, the hotel offers superior accommodation in 28 rooms, of which up to 17 have a view of the Strbske Pleso. There are DeLuxe rooms and a royal suite, as well as a wheelchair-accessible room. The family-run hotel features the Al Lago Restaurant, under the direction of Chef Martin Kurhajec, which offers traditional Mediterranean cuisine with a selection of Slovak specialties. The emphasis is mainly on fresh and original ingredients, and therefore the meals retain the right original taste. Your gastronomic experience will be enhanced by a rich selection of fine wines and rums. There is also a children's playsite.

And after quality accommodation and good food, you can also indulge in the wellness area. It offers relaxation for hotel guests after hikes, skiing, carriage rides or even doing nothing on the terrace.
