sK, Hniezdne: Nestville Park – Home Whisky, Beer, and Chocolate

The first mention of the distillery in this area dates back to the mid-18th century. Today, we can recall the tradition of distilling in a wonderful area called Nestville Park, which can be found in the village of Hniezdno, just 5 km from Stará Lubovna.

Nestville Distillery Exposition Links Traditional with  Modern

The tour is a unique combination of the distillery exhibition with traditional folk crafts. The whole tour consists of 3 parts, each of which deals in detail with one area - historical, modern and traditional.
The historical part consists of examples of folk crafts that are directly related to distillery. In sharp contrast to the historic block is the second, modern part, which will transport you to the present. It focuses on modern technologies and the most modern refinery for the production of alcohol in Europe.

The last, third part, is especially popular with gentlemen. We are talking about a tasting room in which the first Slovak Nestville Whiskey is tasted, as well as warehouses in which the whiskey distillate matures. The tasting room boasts an interesting primacy. In its premises is one of the largest hand-carved wooden paintings in Central Europe.

Brewery with Restaurant and Chocolate Factory

Brewers and lovers of sweeter tastes will also enjoy themselves. Nestville Park features a craft brewery with Nestville Taberna Restaurant. With its self-sufficient production, it brings a unique concept "from the farm directly to the table", which enhances the joy and culinary delight of matured steaks, legendary burgers and other specialties prepared by the hands and heart of a prominent chef. In the brewery with a unique atmosphere, you can taste unpasteurized honest Nestville Beer, brewed from the highest quality ingredients.

If you're more into the sweet, stop by Nestville Chocolate, which combines chocolate production with a pleasant chocolate factory. You can also try tasting Belgian chocolate - milk, dark and white. The menu also includes pralines, bar chocolate, chocolates, spreads, desserts or homemade cakes, as well as original chocolate liqueurs. The chocolate factory has an outdoor playground.

The imaginary icing on the cake in Nestville Park is the Nestville Horses equestrian center, which consists of two modern stables with a capacity of 10 to 14 boxes. Get to know the surroundings from the horse saddle, let the children have fun on the playground and pleasantly tired, treat themselves to excellent food and quality drinks.
