The oldest architectural monuments are the ruins of medieval castles (Likava, Liptovský hrad). However, according to the author of the guide, many of Liptov's towns and villages boast exceptionally valuable medieval churches. Even small villages boast Gothic churches - Smrečany, Martinček, Ludrová, Liptovské Sliače, Okoličná and others. Several of them still have an early Gothic origin and have stood here for more than 700 years.

The brynza dumplings, sheep cheese and žinčica are also synonymous with Liptov, you can taste everything in many mountain huts and huts. Liptov also plays an extraordinary role in the tourism of Slovakia.
