SK, Liptovský Mikuláš – Infofest 2020 Travellers' Festival Comes!

The Infofest 2020 festival will bring lectures by professional travelers about known and unknown places from all over the world. It will take visitors to the event across South America and Canada, through Iran, the Sultanate of Oman, but also to Syria or Turkey. Equally attractive will be the fascinating experiences of traveling around Mongolia, Chile, the paradise of photographers - Scotland or the land of sun and wine in Portugal. There will also be Slovakia or the hidden beauties of the Czech Republic. You will get to know amazing Slovak mountains and other charming places.

You should not miss the lecture The Phenomenon of Ski Mountaineering, where you will learn inspiring knowledge about this beautiful but dangerous sport. At the same time, you will be able to purchase a unique guide for exclusive festival prices signed by the author. At the festival, we will also present a re-edition of tourist guides With a Backpack Around Slovakia, which will be part of an interactive quiz competition. This year's novelty will also be two lectures focused on experiential geography and global education for pupils in the 4th to 9th grades of primary schools, which will take them to distant Tanzania and India.

In addition to lectures, a rich accompanying program awaits you. You can look forward to screenings of short travel videos from home and abroad, screenings of outdoor films, information stands with excursion inspirations and discussions with travelers. The organizers have prepared a popular raffle for all festival visitors. Those who participate in it will be included in the draw for attractive prizes (Swiss watches, tourist books, beer kegs, tickets and vouchers for the amusement park, Tatra packages, jewelry, etc.) for both festival days. Children's visitors will certainly be interested in painting in the square (theme: travel), which will be rewarded with a sweet surprise.

The so-called icing on the cake will be musical performances performed by the domestic folklore group Váh and the singer and long-time soloist of the musical theater in Karlín - Karel Bláha. The main musical guest this year will be the singer Kristína, who is several times the most successful singer in Slovakia and her songs have over 120 million views on YouTube. Infofest will traditionally be accompanied by the popular moderator Marián Galajda.

Admission to the festival is free, but the number of seats in the cinema hall of the Liptovský Mikuláš Cultural House and on the square will be limited due to compliance with measures related to the spreading pandemic. The organizers of the event apply all ordered measures of the Public Health Office of the Slovak Republic, the safe course of the event will be ensured for both performers and visitors.
