SK, Ruzomberok: HORALFEST 2016 – The Fest on Artistic Production about Mountains

The Andrej Hlinka House of Culture, Ruzomberok will host mountaineers who will compete in three categories – film-video, photography, and literature. All categories must be related to nature, mountains, activities in mountains or people who lived in mountains. It is a gathering of people from the Czech Republic, Poland, and many countries around. There will be many related events to which all visitors to the festival and the general public as well can look forward to in this city below the Chocske hills.

There are going to be interesting talks with fest's guests, awarding a memorial plaque to the former contender (today a professional producer), the screening of outdoor movies, book launch, workshops with guarantors, or selling of products related to mountains.

What's new are trips to the surroundings, assessment of Mountain Photomarathon, a one year long event. At this event, a "Mountain photographer of the year" award is going to be awarded, and there is going to be an exhibition. Music, or a tombola will bring some variety to festival's schedule. The festival is free of charge.

Involvement and conditions

All who decide to use pen, camera lense, or videocamera to capture the beauty of mountains can sign up until October 15, 2016 by filling up a form here. On the website, there are all instructions.

Horalfest is the only international festival which gives oportunity to all who are enthusiastic about mountains and want to capture the beauty of mountain nature. Such people can here share their work with the general public. Horsky Internetovy Klub, the city of Ruzomberok, and Infoglobe traveller's website are the organizers of the event.
