Switzerland: Haslital Valley – Place for a Family Vacation

Haslital Valley is typical for its distinctive folklore, beautiful nature and rich traditions, perhaps, the most observed in the three most important tourist towns : Meiringen, Hasliberg and Innertkirchen. Of course we can not miss the holiday resorts Brienzwiler, Gadmen, Guttannen and Schattenhalb that the valley makes it extremely convenient place for year-round recreation. No wonder, since valley surrounded by four famous Alpine passes: Brünig - Grimsel - Susten - Grosse Scheidegg is ideal for a variety of recreational and sporting activities.

Moreover, colorful landscape is lined with huts and solar pastures, high peaks, rugged gorges, bubbling streams and steep waterfalls. In Haslital valley there are seven different cableways in operation, laced with more than 300 km of hiking trails and 300 kilometers of trails for all categories of cyclists.

Vacation paradise

The resort sports Meiringen - Hasliberg all the family members will enjoy their visit, because it offers a rich variety of experiences. Both in the winter months and summer. Skihäsliland that designed for the youngest guests, is one of the most beautiful children's ski resorts in the Alps. Sixty kilometers of ski slopes, 15 km toboggan runs, 38 km of cross-country tracks, 40 km of winter hiking trails, 20 km of routes designed for lovers of snowshoes - all this resort blood boil winter athletes. A comfortable accommodation is available in holiday apartments, chalets or hotels.

Fans of curling or skating will enjoy their hobby in the village of Meiringen, where the Casinoplatz rink is available. There you can enjoy ice skating until late night. Of course, artificial ice rinks are in other communities, but this is definitely worth visiting. When the storm rages outside and it is snowing, it does not mean that the valley Haslital experiences boredom. Just take a dip in the pool one of the indoor swimming pool or visit the climbing hall Haslital with new parts for bouldering or try a ride in a skatepark Meiringen, which is one of the few indoor skateparks in Switzerland.

Valley Haslital is alive not thanks to sports but to interesting events as well. For example, there are competitions in painting, in a lightning fast descent to the valley on Wheels Monster Trotta, and also there are guided visit to the stables Hasliberg. Also, where you can learn many things interesting about famr animals, or you can go to look and try to carve cows from in the village of Hofstetten, so the whole world might see your artistic abilities :). The unusual family fun, the game "Eulenfreunde" in the snow, where families have the opportunity to go on a snowshoe hike "Feuer und Schlange (Fire and snake)" or "Abenteuer Winterwald durchs Zwergenland (Winter adventure in the woods elves). "For fans of adrenaline is available a ride on racing sledge. Of course, it is far from everything you may try there, but it is better to see once than to read about it 100 times.

Quick visit of neighboring region

Near Berner Oberland there is no less attractive region Jungfrau, which is a sort of refuge for sport enthusiasts in the ridges of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. In winter, the region attracts guests with 213 km of slopes, 110 km of winter hiking trails, 20 km of trails for snowshoeing, toboggan runs at total length of 90 km, and 30 km of cross-country tracks. Great experience is a heli-skiing, downhill in deep snow or alpine downhill and alpine skiing on glacial terrains. Certainly you should not miss the Indoor-Seilpark Grindelwald, which is the first indoor rope park in Switzerland. Well, just admit it, such an offer of a holiday joys is simply irresistible

Therefore, if you still not sure where to your family holiday, Haslital valley or Jungfrau region are definitely a good choice.
