ZOO Jihlava - Animal World As At Open Hand - VIDEO

It is home to almost 200 species of exotic animals from around the world, specializing in breeding cats, reptiles and especially clawed monkeys - those acts largest collection in the Czech Republic.

Lovers of cats can observe behind glass enclosures Sumatra tigers, different species of leopards and Malaysian bears Adam Aja, who inhabit the Malay Medan exposure.

Unique is also African village Matongo exposures of animals lagoon with flamingos and adjacent island inhabited by attractive lemurs of kata. The other exposures are stylish - Asian park Hokkaido or Latin America Hacienda Escondido. The runs for ungulates can´t miss, as well as Exotarium exposures monkeys and reptiles and pools for seals and otters.

Who does not want just look that can participate in any of the competitions, campaigns and lectures that take place regularly at the ZOO. Mainly holiday guided feeding demonstrations or training raptors and owls are favourite. At several places in the ZOO can see the stylish exhibitions. In the educational centre PodpoVRCH (under the surface) are of the original environment education programs for schools, workshops, clubs and public lectures. Those, who by quest for animals get tired, can relax on one of the many sitting or point of views or gain power in one of three refreshments.

Jihlava ZOO thinks also for the smallest ones - in the complex is playground with one of the longest slides in the Czech Republic, a lighthouse, a wooden boat with plenty of climbing frames and a petting ZOO with Cameroun goats. Rope PraLEZ (jungle) park offers extraordinary experiences of the trees for both small and large. Zoo is adapted to visitors of all ages and disabilities.

In the summer 8am to 6pm, in winter 9am to 4pm.
