Last time we mentioned the unconditional surrender of Germany in Reims was celebrated with Champagne wine. This historic moment is commemorated by Musée de la Reddition. The building which houses the museum is the very same building where American General Dwight Eisenhower had his temporary HQ. There are photographs, strategic plans, or various military artifacts which you can see at the museum. The price is worth a shot - 4 euro for adults.

In the winter season, high altittude and climate make the area around Jakuszyce a great place for cross-country skiers. They can ride on 100 kilometers of ski trails of varied difficulties. We visit Lillehammer today which was the place where the Olympics took place in 1994. The bus takes us to ski jump bridges. The entire town is right at our feet. We climb down metal steps and we are lucky. There is a ski training taking place just now. We can see skiers in action.
