I thought that I would not find a country which is more diverse than Scotland or Iceland. I was wrong. Tasmanie is an island south from Australia. It is almost as large as the Czech Republic. However, it seems like Scotland, Portugal, New Zealand all at once. Moreover, there are all kinds of animals you have seen only in documentaries about nature.
Santa Cruz de la Sierra is the largest city in Bolivia. It is situated in the central-eastern part of the country far from the Ands. It stretches on flat land. It is remarkable to view the city from bird’s eye perspective. It is of eliptical shape consisting of three bypass circuits (anillos). These are interconnected by radiales – main roads to which are given numbers clockwise. There are 27 of them. The city looks rather like a large village for its low buildings and quite life. There are, however, several more expensive streets with luxury goods. Nobody is in hurry in this city. Locals like to sit on benches and rest. Wristwatch seems like a decoration than a useful accessory here.
Yosemite National park i sone of the parks in the territory of the Sierra Nevada mountain range (California) It is considered an important park yet i tis ot the oldest one. Also, i tis under UNSECO World Heritage protection, it was listed in 1984. Every year, many tourists go there, mostly in summer. Therefore, it is for the better to do many things in advance. Finnish national parks are considered among the most beautifulin the world. There are thousands of lakes in the southwest of the country and, in the Baltic Sea (near the coast), many islands covered of untouched nordic nature.

We visited the selected landmarks, tasted spa waffles and decided to try local healing water. There is no better place to enjoy your treatment than in Hammam, an iconic building in this small town.
If you like tourism and beautiful trips come and join us for one easy walk to the Small Carpathian mountains. We start at Plavecky Mikulas village. There are several marked tourist trails going on into the landscape.
It is an amaizng experience to buy tickets in Bolivia. It also tries nerves of you and the person who tries to sell you them. We buy tickets to Samaipata village in Sucre. Samaipata is on the way to Santa Cruz de la Sierra, supposedly the last city in Bolivia we would visit. Our intention is to rest for a while in Samaipata for we have been in large crowds for the last couple of days.
Today we will roam around in Moravia, the region of Olomouc. We visit the city of Prerov, a great place for holidaymakers and also an imporant city in the region which is only 20 kilometers from Olomouc.
We ride through a thick forest. Suddenly my daughter screams stop, please stop. She points to a bush before us. The more I concentrate the more I can see it – a leopard! Amazing catch. I take pictures of it instantly. The cat is hidden in the trees. Still, we manage to observe it for a while. We don't disturb it at the moment. Soon we arrive at the center of the park. We immediately show our catch. Nobody believes us. One ranger says that for 8 years he has worked there he hasn't seen one yet. Well, we show him our evidence.
Even though we could write a lot about Loire Valley this one is, at least for now, the last part. Next time we visit another France's region.
Last time we introduced you the history of Trencianske Teplice. Today we set off to explore its landmarks and places worth seeing.
After long time, we visited not the highest but certainly one of the most spectacular of Slovakia's mountain ranges – Vrsatska Klipe.
Sucre is the most beautiful city in Bolivia with the best well-preserved colonial architecture we have seen so far. It is also the cleanest and most well-maintained city in the country. Somehow you can feel the order and will of the people to keep the city nice. I tis elegant, simple by colors, and locals are proud to walk around it. It is more or less of the size of Potosi. Around quarter million people live there. Sucre was added to UNESCO World Heritage Sites list in 1991.
Vast mountain ranges and the East Alps stretching across Austria. These are the endless source of inspiration for outdoor activities in any season of the year. The Seckau Tauern is a marvelous mountain range. It will leave any fan of nature and its beauties with strong impressions.
Perhaps it would surprise you that hippos are considered among the most dangerous animals in Africa. Many of the local inhabitants have at least one death in the family caused by hippo. This massive creature has almost no pigment, therefore it must remain in water for days. It washes itself with its tail. Their body makes them mistakenly slow. They can, however, run up to 30 km/h. If it manages to catch a human it can easily split a man into two halves.
For the fact that Loire Valley is a wine-growing region speaks also the area on which wine grapes are grown – around 750 square kilometers. The valley is the main supplier of white wine in France. But let’s leave this beverage for a while for we have to see other chateaus in the area.
Tired of daily routine of daily life we decided to make a vacation somewhere nice. Once we looked at a map, the spa town of Trencianske Teplice caught our attention. It is only several kilometers from Trencianska Tepla.
Another stop on our journey to the north along the eastern coast of Sorfjord coastline is Lofthus – a small village with well known apple orchards. Lofthus is visited by tourists thanks to a steep tourist trail. It goes uphill onto a plateau of Hardangervidda national park. It is a plain area of immense vastness.
The road from Uyuni to Potosí takes mere three hours. It would be nothing less but a sin not looking from the window. The road goes up hill when leaving flat desert region. It crosses low yet beautiful Rainbow Mountains. The land has still features of desert. It is quite dry and without large vegetation Lamas and nandas could be spotted along the road.
We set off to Ngorongoro National Park as early as at 7 a.m. Prior to that, however, we take a groupd picture with the guards of our camp (the Maasai). Our driver, the always smiling Little John, is already waiting for us. Heavy rains left traces on the land slightly before our arrival. We are travelling for about an hour and suddenly we reach the gates of the national park. There is even a visitors’ center. There you can learn a lot of information about the park and its inhabitants. It is nice to see pictures of birds with captions, detailed information on fauna and flora and everything else that might be interesting for you.
We move bit further from the topic of our article at first. Before we tell you more about local chateaus in this popular tourist region we mention some other places worth visiting.
Autumn is the most colorful season of the year and the best for tourism. You need to count on early sunsets but the sun is not so hot. Therefore, we decided to go up into the mountains.
Sweden and Norway are Nordic countries situated on the Scandinavian peninsula which gives the country its cahracteristic features. The main natural attraction in the country are fjords cutting deep into the mainland. There are many such fjords in Norway. Areas without water are regions where many lakes are located. Or you can stumble upon some beautiful hilly area, plateau, deep forests or mountain ridge with a glacier. Nature is not the only thing worth of visiting. The two largest cities too – Oslo and bergen. The north of the country tourists usually avoid. If you seek to be on some remote place alone this would be the best choice.
Our plans receive significant blow once we found out at the terminus in Cochabamba that bus driving companies are on strike. This is nothing unusual in Bolivia. We spending there our second week and we happen to see second one. However, inhabitants and employees have good attitude towards it and they are hardly annoyed. We have ben told several times that such a strike lasts about three days at least. The last bus departs at 18:00 from the terminus. And then the strike begins! Some bus lines moved some were entirely closed. The same goes for the line to Potosi, our next stop. Therefore, we have to change plans in the last minute and take the last bus to Uyuni.
