In the east of California there is a place which boasts with the highest ever recorded air temperature. It happened in the summer of 193. The temperature attacked shocking 56,3 degrees of Celsius. Just remember how awful it was last summer when 35 degrees was daily temperature in Prague. Also, the highest ever night air temperature was recorded here – 43 °C.
This time we visit the east of Slovakia. Our destination aUNESCO landmarks. We are going to make our trip about history as well as tourism. We start at Spisska Nova Ves.
Through various of paths which are lined with broadleaved trees we reached Spilberk’s entrance gate. The castle is one of Brno’s most precious sights. It has stood on a hill of the same name since 13th century.
I really recommend you to travel to the southeast if you happen to be around Hveragerði. There is the lava cave of Raufarholshellir near the road No 39 and you reach it after about fifteen minutes of drive.

The Moravian metropolis greeted us by a nice sunny day. We set off for some sightseeing. First thing we saw was cathedral of St Peter and Paul.

Early climb up the summit is done, successfully. We are on our second day in Rinjani territory. Even though we were sick and tired of walking we had to leave Sembalun Crater Rim and continue further on. The night at Anak lake was upon us.

Welcome back! We continue in our trip across Indonesia. Now we are below the summit of Rinjani (we are at about 2350 meters). Rinjani is Indonesia’s second highest mountain. The night is upon us as well as the very climb to the summit (3726 m).
It is an archipelago and also an island which is located in the Macaronesia region. Only two islands are inhabited as the whole archipelago is a natural reserve. These islands are Madeira and Porto Santo.
Every time I have the feeling I know something more about something I come to realization which tells me the opposite. I spent one year of studying and travelling in China. Bit arrogantly I had felt Asia couldn’t surprise me much more. Fortunately, I hadn’t boarded a plane to the Czech Republic, instead I boarded a plane to Vietnam.
In our last trip to the Hawaiian Islands we visit the second largest island – Maui. It is named after the son of the mythical navigator who discovered the islands.
Don’t be confused. Winter is the best season to watch underwater life. Pikes, pikeperches, crucians, and carps swim in clear water around you. A quarry in Mrakov, Domazlice region, is a great place for this activity.

Last week we climbed Velky Rozsutec and intentionally walked around Janosik’s Holes (Janosikove Diery). This phenomena is so beautiful and unique we must devote one entire article to describe them. So today we see the most popular and most well-known tourist attraction in the Mala Fatra National Park.
