Sur is a beautiful town featuring colonial architecture. It is situated by the sea on several spits of land. There are hills, byas and so on. But don't worry. Locals are ready to help you and get you to the right place. There are no street names in Sur so always ask about a concrete place. There are several markets (such as fish market). Moreover, there is a shippyard featuring many ships under constructions. These resemble ships of the Christopher Columbus era and are hand made. To complete such a ship takes several months of work.

The Hohe Tauern national park belongs to the most popular areas in the Austrian Alps. Nature here is nothing but magical. Sharp peaks of two or three thousand meter high rocky giants, alpine lakes, wild nature, vast glacier fields and more. The Hohe Tauern are also popular for mountain hikers and for its numerous winter resorts.

Varadero was the last place we visited during our vacation. It is an ideal place to relax. The city is known for Hicacos, a spit of land with beautiful white sand beaches and clear water. When riding in a taxi collectivo from Trinidad, the ride takes about 3.5 hours with one break. And this ride was really unpleasant.

Brighton is the most popular and famous sea resort on the English Channel. Once, this large city was a simple fishing village which became increasingly popular among English nobility in the 18th century. They travelled here to breathe fresh sea air and relax in luxurious spa. Today, Brighton is open to anyone. Its pebble beaches are lined with souvenire stores and various attractions.

There are several fortresses you may see in Oman. One of these is situated in Nizwa, a town with famous bazaar and halva stores. Keep in mind that opening hours may vary according to the temperature outside. To have a souk you must be ready to go in the morning. Stores are closed in the afternoon due to high temperatures.

Short after noon, we reached the colonial city of Trinidad by taxi colectivos. The ride was truly thrilling as we hastily rode in an American car with nine seats without any seatbelts and with windows opened. I didn't know what should I worry about more – if we crash into someone or if the car could fall apart.

Lincolnshire is the destination for today. It is located in east England. The main city is Lincoln which along with Windsor, Warwick, Canterbury, London and York belongs to the most important historic cities of England. The city is home to 130 thousand people. It lays on the River Witham with amazing cathedral rising above buildings around. The center of the city features historic houses, fortification built by the Normans, and you may even see remains of ancient Roman architecture.

We travelled to Playa Larga from Habana, again. This time we did intend to make use of local taxi colectivos and spare some money. For here they celebrate the Labour Day, we had to find different alternative. Before we even had approached an information stall, a cab driver stopped us and suggested he would take us right to our address.

The famous cathedral belongs to the greatest sights in the city. It is the seat of the archbishop of Canterbury, the highest church official of the Church of England. However, Canterbury has been important Christian location for a long time. In the early Middle Ages, St Augustin baptised Anglo-Saxons. In 597, he became the first English bishop. His grave lays close to the city walll. Its importance surpasses even that of the cathedral itself.

On the following day in the morning, we set off to Viñales karst valley. The name comes from the town of Viñales situated in the very valley. It is about 29 kilometers from Pinar del Río. The Cordillera de Guaniguanico is a relatively low mountain range situated in the area. It consists of woody hills of Sierra del Rosario and Sierra de los Órganos.

The last time when we visited Windsor together we noted that it is one of the most beautiful castles ever. However, once you lay your eyes on Warwick, you realize that it constitutes significant competition to Windsor. Warwick is a massive medieval castle situated by the River Avona. It's history dates back to early Middle-Ages. In the year 915, it was built by the daughter of Alfred the Great, the King of Wessex. This castle soon became an important seat of power. Its lords were even called "kingmakers"

After our stay in Habana we were looking forward to travel west to Pinar del Río. We had booked accommodation and some trips at Casa Manuela, a guest house in downtown which treats you like if you were in a hotel. Food was great, rooms beautiful, many terraces with seating, and very kind staff. Through here we booked a ride from Habana. Everything went smoothly and on time. Moreover, we had probably the safest car of our entire vacation here.
