The last day in Rome was the perfect day for a trip off the city. We visited two different places. After Villa d‘Este we decided to set off to Frascati. There is Villa Aldobrandini. Frascati is situated 20 kilometers southeast of Rome. A train departs from roma Termini to here regularly. The ride takes half an hour. But bear in mind that the train departs from a pretty remote platform. So don't go to the train station at the last minute.

We decided to leave Rome on Sunday for Tivoli, a town about 40 kilometers away. Formerly, this was a place where Rome's rich went to recreate because they had their summer residence there. Today, tourists are most intrigued to visit the magnificent Renaissance villa – Villa d'Este.

Italy, Rome's Surroundings – Seeing Etruscan Necropolis of Banditaccia near Cerveteri

We were about to stay five days in Rome. So we intended to make some trips around Rome. We received some advice at the visitor's center which led us to visit the town of Cerveteri. The town is situated in the Lazio region about 40 kilometers from Rome. It takes us about an hour by train to reach Marina di Cerveteri station (the train departs several times every day from Roma Termini station). Then you need to reach a bus stop (100 from the train station). A free of charge minibus departs from here to the historic center of Cerveteri (to Piazza Aldo Moro). The ride takes about 20 minutes.

We left Republiky sqaure for St Wenceslas Cathedral situated on Wenceslas square. The cathedral houses Roman Catholic archdiocesis of Olomouc. The grandiose Romanesque/Gothic structure has some Baroque features and rich decoration of sculptures. It is true jaded gem of the city.

Laos, Phonsavan: Jars of Mysterious Fate

I am watching green hills, cliffs, rice fields, and stone jars from the window on a minibus. The jars are large, small, oval, with and without a lid. Unlike the road, these are hard to not to see. There is no proper tourist trail but rather a road lined on both sides.

US: Chicago - Windy and Green City II

It is evening. We are quite disappointed from teh Skydeck at Willis Tower. The vista was not as great as we expected it to be. Yet our mood imporved with another experience. It was much more intense and I recommend it to everyone going to Chicago.

The Region of Trencin is full of many landmarks hidden in nature. An example of such fusion os Brezova pod Bradlom, a town of 5 thousand situated at the foothills of the Small Carpathians. Bradlo hill rises above the town. On it, there is the burial mould of Milan Rastislav Štefánik who was born in Kosariska.
