Today we go far far away. We set off to places where I fulfilled my dreams of taking pictures of wild cats. I wished for a flight to Africa a long time ago. Tanzania was my first choice. I took my daughter to safari. I made preparations ahead, read some basic information about the country, flora and fauna, the latter being the most interesting for me.

Last time, we concluded our article at Besancon cathedral. The city itself is home to over one hundred thousand people. However, add 23 thousand students of Université de Franche-Comté. Besancon has been its home since 1621. The university was founded earlier, however, in 1423.

Haarlem used to be one of the most important cities in the Netherlands. Its name also became the name of one of the most famous districts in New York – Harlem. This beautiful, historical city is home to Dutch upper-middle class seeking to enjoy peace and greenery yet be close to the capital. It takes only 15 minutes to travel from Haarlem to Amsterdam. I can recommend to pay a visit to the city.

You ride down the hill to the valley. Surrounding you are green hills. White buildings of local automobile factory brighten you. These are the halls of Skoda car company. Since 2012, gearboxes have been produced there. However, we go further into the center. The main landmark in Vrchlabi is St Vavrinec church. Its belfry hardly fits within the lens cope of a camera.

There are many interesting parks, gardens, or other green areas around the historical center of Bratislava. People can rest there in the nature. However, the city center is not necessarily laid out in stone.

Most stories about the capital of Netherlands conclude with something which shouldn’t be told to anyone else but the closest. However, Amsterdam is not just a city where crazy parties happen. If you sit on a bike and ride away from downtown you can experience the true Amsterdam, long away from Red Light District.

Balcoes lookout is situated at 86é meters above sea level. A comfortable and wide enough road leads there from the trout farm in Riberio Frio. The name fits. It is a true natural balcony giving you the view of what you would consider a piece of paradise.

Let's climb up the second highest mountain of Myanmar. Nice weather means beautiful vista over mountains in India and to Bangladesh. There is a complicated road to the base camp. On the other hand, the climb is easy and takes you up to 3053 meters above sea level.

We have already seen the Waterworks garden and its many attractions. We followed the Karloveske river-branch towards the botanical garden at Comenius University, Bratislava. It was a very first botanical garden in Slovakia.

We leave Funchal for Santana, a town on the northeastern seaboard. There are interesting places along the way. We leave the direct rote to see such places as the Madeira’s highest peaks, a stone igloo, and the Faial bay. In case you have not yet visited the cave and volcanic center of Grutas Sao Vicente it is easy to reach along the northern seaboard starting in Santana. As we told you, Sao Vicente is a borderline between the western and eastern parts of the island

Monumental pagodas over 250 years old are glitter under sun shine. Pointy cactuses rise among temples made of red bricks. There are also bushes with red and rose blossoms. You can hear a clapping sound made by shepherd’s clogs.

We continue in our walks through green spots of Bratislava even today. We will visit only recently opened Waterworks Garden. The garden is located nearby the Danube River in Karlova Ves city borrough.

We crossed the new Old Bridge (the last week's article) and reached Danube's right riverbank, the borrough of Petrzalka. After this beautiful bridge, two beautiful landmarks caught our attention. The first one was the water tower. The other a noise coming from around the riverbank.

The second largest town on Sicily is situated on the slopes of Europe’s highest active volcano, Mount Etna. You can get to Sicily by plane easily. Count with a transfer in Rome or Naples. Perhaps you will be lucky and find a cheap direct flight. Buses ride from the airport to the city center. However, mind that locals don’t know much English. Therefore, take a dictionary with you. And be careful when arriving at night. In the district next to the city center there are high rates of criminality. They will warn you about this at your hotel.
