Marseille belongs to the Mediterranean cities in Europe, thus it is one of the most popular summer resorts. Local temperatures rise above 30 degrees Celsius in summer and in winter they barely get below zero degrees.

We continued along the coastline to east and we were amazed with a beautiful road without holes and patches. There are just three main roads on Mainland, however, unlike ours they were in splendid condition.

Near the village is Yesnaby, perhaps the most popular cliffs we just had to visit. A look from above on wild waves made took one’s breath. After we explored the surroundings we headed to mysterious stones.

When you walk around in downtown you would definitely notice City Hall built in an Empire style, on the top there is a statue of the founder of Pennsylvania, William Penn. There is also Independence Hall in the center, the building is included in the UNESCO’s World Heritage lists and also the already-mentioned Declaration of Independence was signed there.

This department is well-known in the country for its fertile soil thus its nickname is “granary of Bolivia”. We spent New Years Eve and New Year on camels back, unusually, in the Thar Desert in Rajastan, near Pakistan border. We danced around fire in the sound of side drums together with tourists from all-around the world. We ate Indian meals with Kari, chili and sand.

I had visited Washington D. C. during my two-year stay in the US. I had spent there three days for I considered it a duty to visit the city not only for it is the US capital but also for its vicinity. It is about 250 miles/400 kilometers from New York.
