The Art Deco market was constructed in 1929. This was the conclusion to the revitalization of the city after the Great War. Moreover, the market was completely renovated in 2012. Now it is the best time to see it in its renewed former glory. Apart from the fact that you can buy there grocery products, often there are held cultural events or exhibitions.
If you love Art Deco then we recommend you to head to Café du Palais, a family cafe founded in the 1930s. The stained glass ceiling enhances its atmosphere. It was made by Jacuqes Simon. The beautiful environment is enhanced by delicious food and drinks - champagne, of course, or other local wine sorts.

Couple of festivals take place in Reims every year. To schedule your visit at the time of some of them is a great idea. For instance, Fêtes Johanniques which takes place every year on July 17 is a celebration of Joan'd Arc. There are only two celebration of the saint in France - in Orléans and Rouen.
Součástí remešské slavnosti je dobové procesí, živá hudba, středověký trh a další pouliční podívaná včetně rytířů nebo řemeslníků. Vrcholem slavností je velké korunovační procesí, během něhož tisíce lidí v dobových kostýmech následují Johanku z Arku a krále Karla VII. do katedrály Notre-Dame.
Les Sacres du Folklore is another great cultural event. Folk singers, dancers and musicians from France and all of the world meet in Reims for a several day long festival which usually takes place in mid-July. Visitors can see dance performances, concerts, traditional music performances etc.
