Kenya: Hell’s Gate National Park – A Trip to the Gorge and Close Encounters with the Animals – VIDEO

Hell’s Gate is just like the neighboring Mt. Longonot one of the cheapest parks in Kenya, entry costs only $ 26 a day. In addition, you can go here without any problems with your own car, a four-wheel drive is not mandatory. You can also go cycling, which lends a lot around the park, but I do not recommend it. There is no wild beast attack here, but when we met a herd of buffaloes in close proximity to the road, I was very happy for the Toyota Toybox.

Be sure to take some time to visit Ol Njorowa Gorge in the southern part of the park. There are several hot springs, waterfalls and unforgettable scenery. You will need a guide, but fortunately the price is fixed and more or less symbolic. However, if you are afraid of heights or are not completely in shape, you will only have to settle for the view of the surrounding formations.

Fortunately, we stayed in the park until sunset, when a large grassy plain suddenly filled with animals. During the day we only met zebras, a couple of antelopes and a lot of brash baboons. But when the tropical sun stopped burning, other antelopes appeared first, followed by giraffes. On the way to the gate, we also came across a family of warthog pigs and a bunch of baboons. All this just a few meters away.

Although we came in the season of the greatest drought, when the animals remain the least parks, we finally enjoyed a great safari. So I highly recommend visiting Hell’s Gate, especially in conjunction with the beautiful Naivasha Lake a few kilometers from here.
