Spain, Salou – PortAventura World II
First of all, we take a look at how much this all fun actually costs. The cost of transportation is going to vary, naturally. Say you decide to take a flight from Prague. In this case you have to fly to Barcelona. A flight ticket in this scenario should cost you around 4 to 5 thousand Czech crowns. However, once you are in Barclona you need to travel to the theme park itself. Train is the best option. The ride takes about one and half hour. The train stop is near the park (about one kilometer which you can easily walk).
Ticket price is bearable – 45 eur (cca 1 220 CZK). There is one interesting option - an evening ticket which is much cheaper. Usually, the park is open from 10 a.m. till 7 or 8 p.m. However, you can learn the opening hours of the park at the official website of the park. The park is frequently open at night. The evening ticket is valid from 7 p.m. It costs a half of normal ticket.
Maybe you still remember the crazy Dragon Khan roller coaster in the Chinese section of the park. This section is very nicely done. There are replicas of historical Chinese houses including thatch roof. There is even a small artificial lake where RC boats flow. Behind it there is a replica of a temple you can find in Lhasa, Tibet.
There is one more interesting ride in China as imageined by PortAventura. V „portaventurské“ Číně ale stojí minimálně ještě jedna atrakce za pozornost. Shambhala: Expedición al Himalaya is a 1,5-kilometer long roller coaster and one of the tallest and fastest roller coasters in Europe. The tallest peak is at 78 meters. The cart drives the coaster in 134 km/h. The reason why this type of ride is called the hyper coaster seems obvious.
We leave the Chinese section of the park now for another interesting part - Polynesia. There you walk among bungalows and under plm trees. You are going to see catamarans. At local amphitheater traditional Polynesian dancing shows take place.
Aves del Paraíso is another show which is rather educational. You learn a lot about exotic birds and, believe us, you will laugh a lot as well. The most interesting ride here is Tutuki Splash. There you take a seat in a boat. First tranquil the cruise quickly changes into thrilling ride for you sail around a volcano.
