USA, Idaho – The Best Place for Walks in the Nature
If you are bored with walking, try mountain biking or fishing. In winter, the local landscape is ideal for cross-country skiing or snowmobile riding. In addition, you can enjoy the view of several hundred glacial lakes.
Another natural area we need to take you to is the City of Rocks National Reserve. It's really renowned among climbers. In the past, however, the area has also enjoyed high popularity. The emigrants who moved along the historic California Trail have noticed the local rocks. The Indian Shoshon tribe established a settlement among the massive rocks of the local rock city. Visitors can sleep in one of 64 campsites with access to drinking water.
Three is a charm, so we will bring you to the Boize River Greenbelt. This trail leads through the city of Boise and connects the best parts of the city's parks. The forty kilometer-long trail was partly due to the impoverishment of the river and surrounding pollution. The project has succeeded and currently Greenbelt is a sort of showcase for the natural environment. People use the trail both for a brisk and healthy journey to work, as well as a way to quickly move away from urban rush and escape into nature.
To learn more about Idaho, its present and past, visit the Museum of Idaho, located in the heart of Idaho Falls. The institution collects 25 000 different artifacts and specimens that refer to the oldest history of the area or refer to the local flora, fauna or culture. Every year, 100 000 tourists come here. The museum is famous for its rotating exhibits and very dense labels.
Some of the local permanent exhibitions include, for example, a look at the indigenous peoples of the state, one-man, or the adventures of probably the greatest American travelers Lewis and Clark. Among other things, every year the museum asks for a series of events focused on children or events known as "After Dark", which focus mainly on adults (ie 21 years and above).
Finally, we visit one of the largest parks in Idaho Falls. This makes Tauthaus Park, which is very family friendly. There are many trees and greenery, baseball fields or patches where you can organize a picnic. In addition, in the amusement park, which is typically called Funland, you will slide on the water slides and enjoy all sorts of attractions. But the main one here is the zoo, where animals from all over the world are home. These include lions, penguins or gorgeous irbis.
