USA, Sedona – The Best of American Nature
We have visited the Grand Canyon in the past, so we will not stay here. We will introduce you to places around Sedona, which is located in the area between the witness hills and canyons.
Just take a look at a few photos and you'll immediately understand why Sedona is one of the most recommended destinations in Arizona. There is a lot in the area - from beautiful natural sites through the references of the native inhabitants, architectural monuments to galleries and sacred places. You can also go hiking, mountain biking or star gazing.
And what does the city itself offer? Probably the most interesting is hidden in its historic center, where in addition to boutiques and shops for tourists, there are also various galleries, cafes, restaurants and handicraft shops. Sedona is also considered a kind of spiritual place, so you will find shops selling various magic crystals and similar accessories. You can also take part in some of the guided tours of the historic city center.
But the surrounding nature is more interesting than the city. If you like mountain biking, you are in the right place. There are trails around Sedona that will meet the expectations of both more advanced riders and cyclists with small children. Basically, you can go here all year round. The snow is only a few days a year and otherwise the conditions are more or less the same. During the rides you will enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains and some trails will also take you around interesting places. These include Cathedral Rock, which is certainly the most photographed place around Sedona. No wonder this rock is visible from Highway 179 as you head to Sedona from Phoenix and drive through Oak Creek Village. Be sure to take one photo as well. It will be a nice monument.
The Grand Canyon is not the only canyon you can see in Arizona. Just over ten kilometers west of Sedona is Byonton Canyon, which is said to be full of special energy. You will also have the opportunity to eat well or spend a few nights on site.
